The Lunch Basket Reviews
was in line at 11:15 today Dec 7 2024 waiting for all the food to be put out and saw the owner scraping mashed potatoes out of large mixing bowl with his bare hand no gloves on. I have eaten here pretty regular but I'm through now.
no more!
The food and staff were wonderful and so friendly.
I definitely recommend this Restaurant!
The food is never hot. I tried it twice and each time the food was cold,As if the warmers doesn't keep the food hot..So it's a zero for me!

Menu
The Lunch Basket is a restaurant that offers delicious and freshly-prepared soul food, served with kindness by a down-to-earth owner. The menu features a cafeteria-style selection, including a meat section, sides, and a salad bar. Customers have praised the baked fish, described as "too good to resist," and noted that the food is amazing, reminiscent of down-home southern cooking. The restaurant is set up like an old Piccadilly, creating a nostalgic feel. While the atmosphere is dated and there are some cleanliness issues, the food is the main draw. The service is wonderful, with friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant's hours are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. There is ample parking available for customers. However, there have been mentions of issues with air conditioning, leading to fans being used. Overall, The Lunch Basket is a place where customers feel welcomed and can enjoy great southern food, with a recommendation for the cornbread and banana pudding.
