Food is generally good(especially country fried steak), but my problem with them recently is removing the usual additional free side from entrees. That effectively increases the meal price by $8-$10 if you want the side, and still leaves the entree price alone. Not cool.
Great spot for a quick bite. The mater cakes were excellent. Crab cake on top of a fried green tomatoe! Sign me up please. And the sauce is excellent. Also got the chicken fried steak. Wow. Huge steak freshly fried with great flavor..... and the white gravy is really really good. My only gripe would be not enough mashed taters. Flavor wise everything was excellent. Will definitely go back.
We came to eat here as a last minute decision before a show since our restaurant of choice down the road had a long wait. I was sat down immediately, and then had such a wonderful waiter named Brandon for our dinner service. My boyfriend was trying to parking his truck while I went in to grab us a table, and Brandon had brought our drinks out right away.
