Very good!! Great view of harbor. Excellent service scallops were awesome.
I came over to Biloxi to casino hop for the day and was desperate for a steak and some shrimp. I haven't been back to the coast much since I moved over 10 years ago, so I wasn't familiar with many newer places in the area. But one place I knew was McElroy's. My mother and father loved this place when I was a kid.
I hadn't had breakfast the day I came, so I was pretty hungry.
Starting out I ordered crab cakes. These were so delicious because they weren't covered in breading and deep fried. Not were they filled with bread and other filler. These two crab cakes were all meat! And they were so juicy and spicy, paired with the dipping sauce it was divine!
The only steak they had on their menu was a 12 ounce ribeye and while that's not my favorite cut of meat, it was melt in your mouth perfection! I usually enjoy A1 steak sauce on my choice cut but the seasoning on this steak combined with how well it was cooked, was exactly what I was craving. The grilled shrimp I added were gulf shrimp and that's a big plus ! I can't stand farm raised icky bottom bugs.
The view I had overlooking the water made the experience the best of the day, considering I lost the money I came with at the casinos. My server was incredibly sweet and attentive too! Thank you Ms Connie!
Waited at the table for 20 minutes and recieved absolutely no service. The restaurant was not busy and I watched several other tables recieve service. Really disappointed
Excellent food, Excellent service friendly staff. Delicious broiled flounder! Baked potato done to perfection!
What a treat. We had the crab dip and the Harbor Special. And Italian lemon cream cake for dessert. It was all divine! The service was great too.
My family members and I enjoyed our visit to McElroy's. We were attending a party of seven (7) and we were seated within minutes of our arrival, during the lunch/brunch time frame.
I ordered gumbo and a shrimp đ€ dish. I enjoyed the food. Our server was attentive and pleasant. The food we ordered arrived at our table within an acceptable amount of time and it was served hot. The establishment was comfortable and cool (A/C) because we were seated inside the restaurant (by our request).
The prices on the menu were reasonable yet competitive for similar restaurants within the area. I would recommend this restaurant.
Sadly somehow we passed this gem more than a few times BUT not anymore! It will be our first stop from now on! Love, Assumption Parish
Food was EXCELLENT! Service, atmosphere, scenic views were all amazing. We went for a field trip with our son and they prepared food for 35+ kids that was hot and ready for them when we arrived. All of the food boxes and drink cups were labeled with each childâs name. Perfect organization. They were very accommodating to our large party of parents that ordered food once we got there and provided prompt service. We visit Biloxi often and are constantly in search for our favorite place to eat. We just found it! We will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Ok. My beef is not with the food which is pretty good. Service is good as well. My complaint is: discount ONLY for ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY. Reason? Probably to draw military from Nearby KEESLER Air Force base nearby. Why not veterans or retired. Firefighters or Cops. Active or retired. So say an active duty guy walks in with his wounded Warrior buddy, who lost his leg in the sand Box, who was medically discharged. You give the discount to the Active Duty guy but not the wounded warrior. Obviously there is no one directly in this family than can explain the bad policy. MOST restaurants either donât give it OR give it to ANY VET. Got a VA card or DD-214 Discharge form? Youâve earned it. Not to mention Most Active Duty with base pay , free housing or tax free housing allowance make more than many older retired Vets. I eat locally quite a bit. Probably 8-9 out of 10 will give it to any vet and to any 1st responder as well. Considering a local cop or fire fighters dangerous job and pay vs say, most Air Force airman? Think about it.
Our food was great. I had the blackened mahi and my husband had the blackened shrimp for lunch. After lunch, we had a couple of medical issues. Jamie, Jennifer, and Cindy took such great care of us! They were amazing. One of them stayed with us the entire time. They were kind, reassuring, patient, and calm. They were such a huge blessing! We canât thank them enough.
