The keeslerBase Lounge is a beautifully maintained, welcoming space that offers a much-needed retreat for service members and their families. It’s the kind of place where you can decompress after a long day—comfortable seating, a relaxed atmosphere, and a sense of community that’s hard to find elsewhere on base.
Unfortunately, it’s only open on Wednesdays. That’s one day out of seven when active-duty members and their families can enjoy this space. Given the demanding schedules and stress that come with military life, it feels like a missed opportunity to support morale and well-being.
Opening the lounge more frequently—even just a few additional evenings during the week especially the weekend—could make a meaningful difference. It would offer a consistent, safe, and relaxing environment for service members to unwind, connect with others, and recharge.
Military life presents unique challenges. By increasing The Lounge's availability, Keesler AFB can better support the well-being of its personnel and their loved ones, reinforcing the base's commitment to family and community.
The Keesler Base Lounge has the potential to be all of that and more. It just needs to be open. Honestly, I would like to have given the review 5 stars but it’s never open

The facility is modern and nice as far as government buildings go, the view overlooking the marina and back bay is the best part about this place. Beers were poured when ordered, staff was friendly enough. Food was average at best. It took around 45 minutes and came out luke-warm or cold, we didn’t send anything back because we had plans and had already spent too much time there. It’s a very boisterous place on a Friday night, inviting all echelons of military service members, contractors and retirees alike. If you were thinking of coming to check it out, do so. It’s worth coming to see for the view.
