Been eating at Fernando's since Pearl location opened up and food at all their location was great. Called in a TO GO order Wednesday around 4:30. I ordered fiestas and when I got home I find 2 small scrapes of chicken and 2 small scraps of steak obviously left over from lunch and 2 shrimps. But with lots of veggies. Usually its more meat than veggies. The fact the meat was left over from lunch didn't bother me so much as paying what I did for a freaking veggies plat. Been a customer for years. Papito's becoming my new Mexican go to restaurant. Mr. Fernando, step up your game, several more Mexican options just a 5 minute drive up Lakeland.

I’ve been eating here for about 1 1/2 year’s now and the food and service was always good. But I went here the 3rd week in November on a Friday and the service was poor maybe understaffed and the food wasn’t up to its usual everything we ordered barley had any meat so I just thought it was a off night went back 2 nd week in December on a Friday it was the exact same thing. Thinking I might have to find a New Mexican restaurant unfortunately.

Expensive for the portion you get IMHO. It is perfectly decent Mexican food, but not my first pick unless you are close by and need to stay within that area. Like all, they may have a specific dish that is however better than other similar restaurants.

I have eaten here three times now and the food is just not good. I will not return.Visit 1: I picked up take out & got home and my order was incomplete.Visit 2: My food was not seasoned & my check was inaccurate - way overcharged.Visit 3: My fajitas meat was in large chunks, not sliced and no seasoning. The salsa was mostly water.Three strikes and you’re out!You will need to drive west on Hwy 25 to Dogwood Shopping areas for much better Mexican cuisine.

Love love love Fernando’s tacos But I was very disappointed today. The shells were different, the cheese was lumpy and the meat didn’t have any taste and the salsa was not as good as I’ve had before.

By far the best Fernando's in town. The salsa is amazing and actually has some chunk and not watered down. Ignore those terrible reviews and give it a try. You won't be sorry.

First, service was very slow. Took a while for someone to bring chips or take our order. Also, after giving the server a gracious tip of 20 percent despite the delays, they must have felt it wasn't enough so they added a couple of more dollars to their tip on my card without my consent. We will not be going back to this location.
We enjoyed great fresh food and great service. This is a hidden gem and worth a trip into the county! Vegetarian options in addition to the usual omnivore fare! They have outdoor seating but at some times of day it is blisteringly hot depending on the sun angle.

Husband and I live in Texas and we had the chile relleno platter and steak enchilada platter and I have to say we were both delighted with our meals! We were both stuffed when we left and couldn't finish our meals! Even the sides (refried beans and rice) were delicious. Kinda like being back home. Highly recommend! And our waitress Sarah was great!
