The coffee is usually great but the customer service is awful! I stopped visiting 2 years ago bc of customer service. I just started back visiting the Crossgates location a week ago. Today I ordered a French Toast Latte and asked for it to be extra hot. I got my order, as I was pulling off I tried it & not only wasn't it hot but it literally tasted like cinnamon in some warm water. I pulled back to the window to get a remake and I was informed that I would have to pay for another one! I proceed to hand them the old drink back and they tell me I need to contact the manager if I wanted my drink remade. I've had issues in the past so I had the owners number saved and reached out while I sat at the window. I informed the owner about what I'd experienced and she called the store to tell them to remake my drink. Although I appreciate the owner's willingness to fix the issue, it shouldn't have been an issue in the 1st place. I've never experienced a business not wanting to fix something that was their issue! I'm all about supporting locally owned businesses but I seriously doubt I return. It seems as if the manager and owner are not on the same page when it comes to customer service.

I’m a very loyal mocha mugs customer, my usual MM is the downtown Brandon one (the best & always the BEST customer service, love them!!) but sometimes I occasionally have to stop at the crossgates one that seems to be VERY opposite to each other. The past 3 times I’ve gotten a coffee from the crossgates one I’ve had to stop & get creamer from how gross the coffee is. It taste like dirty water and not to mention it taste NOTHING like what I get at the downtown shop. They’re always on point is why I go almost every morning, even on the weekends. I’m not sure if they have the same syrups or not or if they have any at the crossgates one but I have never tasted it in my coffees from them, so gross.
I am not one to buy coffee over making it myself. Yet I find myself stopping here nearly every single morning. All of the young women that work here are so sweet and kind. Especially Avery. She let's my 3-year-old order which makes him very very happy. He loves their cookies and muffins. Their prices are very reasonable and unlike other baristas that like to spell your name wrong, they remember your name. Cannot give enough stars!
