Had dinner here last night, the St. Louis ribs. Came back for lunch today and had the brisket grilled cheese. The food was absolutely delicious! BBQ here is amazing. The service was great, too. Everyone was very personable.

It’s chain BBQ there is some love but not all the love and soul in BBQ. It’s a decent option but I would not go way out of my way to go. If I were in the area I would stop by if I were hungry. The sauce was hit or miss which I found odd as I am sure it’s mass produced and not made in house.

Usually really enjoy Sonny's but today the meat was so fatty I couldn't eat it. I got the sliced brisket sandwich which is usually very lean. The service and atmosphere was good, as usual, but I left hungry.

To preface this review, I am from Texas (home of the best BBQ on earth, especially brisket.) Sonny's BBQ was recommended to me by some T Mobile employees down the street. My wife and I came without expecting much. The food was actually very good and the brisket was well done. Overall I rate the brisket 4/5, jalapeno & cheese sausage 5/5, bbq beans 5/5, and the slaw was also 4/5. We were also impressed with some of the sauce options available, and took home a bottle. I usually judge bbq very harshly and I really don't have anything bad to say about Sonny's BBQ. It really gives me hope for Mississippi's BBQ scene, considering this was our first BBQ restaurant since we came to visit.

I pass this place almost daily and it’s always packed so I decided to try it out today. I ordered online and did curbside pickup. If I got there right on time when everything was hot it would be 5 starts. Only issue for me is the website ask for location so I feel they should start preparing when I hit “I’m on the way” instead of when the order is placed but that’s just my opinion. Other than that, it was soooooo good!! I got the pulled pork sandwich with okra, added fries and Mac. All so good. Definitely will be back!

Been coming to the Brandon location for years!! Me and the family have tried the one in Clinton- just awful. Always a great server and food here! Had the new philly tonight and really loved it. Hope to see it on the menu permenently!!
