Upon getting my food and starting to eat it, taking a bite of my waffle, I pulled a hair from my mouth. Up until this point, this was our favorite spot to dine for breakfast. What ever happened to wearing hair nets while preparing/serving food? People tend to put their hands all in their heads fixing hair and all this crap like this is what takes place while dealing with food service.

I personally have never eaten here, and will never, but I'm sure the food is amazing because they are ALWAYS busy. If you are delivering for doordash do NOT accept any orders from this establishment, no matter how tempting the pay is, because you will end up spending a LOT of time waiting. I have never picked up from here and an order been ready on arrival. Typical wait is 20+ minutes, but this morning I waited 52 minutes from the time I was supposed to pick up, and had a second order to pick up from a different location after it. I never hardly leave reviews, but this place is so frustrating it compelled me to do so. Sorry for the Karen rant, but just DO BETTER!

If you’re not ready to wait 30 minutes for breakfast food, once you’ve placed your order, then I’d suggest going some place else! I don’t know what was going on in the kitchen, but our wait was ridiculous!! Highly do not recommend….

Spillway Diner doesn’t disappoint as I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner from this restaurant. I usually get the “Super Bacon Cheeseburger” with Homemade Fries! The burger that they grill is tied with the “Huey’s Cheeseburger” (Memphis, Tenn burger joint ((they serve “steak fries” that are not homemade, in my opinion)). Huey’s has a fantabulous Burger and if both of the restaurants were sitting next to each other, I would get a Spillway Diner “Super Bacon Cheeseburger” every time. The reason??? Spillway Diner’s’Homemade Fries’ are the best Fries that I have ever eaten with the exception of my late mothers “Cast Iron Skillet Pan Fries” whose fries are so good thst I could eat them for every meal, every day of my life. The only complaint I have about Spillway Diner is that they close up around 1:30 pm and only use Door Dash for their delivery service. I use GrubHub as it’s just as good as DoorDash and they give a money back guarantee on All their orders as well as other perks. I only been disappointed twice in the 4 years that I have been eating there and that’s because they got my order wrong (twice). Do yourself a huge favor and eat breakfast from them as well as you have to eat their Burgers and especially their Homemade Fries!!!!!

The cook was excellent, but the service was inconsistent. The young server seemed overwhelmed—she didn’t know the menu well, forgot part of our order, struggled to understand customers, and frequently disappeared. She definitely needs more training, especially during busy holiday periods. The older server was more experienced but didn’t greet me when I arrived, and despite trying several times to get her attention, she kept walking by. I wasn’t sure what to do when I got there, so I asked another dining family, and they told me to just pick a table.
The bathroom was very clean. The wait for our food was long, and when it arrived, the order was incorrect. We had placed a to-go order, which was ready for several minutes, but no one brought it to us until we refused to pay. Afterwards, the server confirmed it was ready, and we were given a 10% discount.
Overall, the food was good, the cook is A1, but the servers need more training. I would return, but not during a holiday or if I’m short on time.

Ordered to go. Was able to order immediately after walking in and the food was ready in less than 10 mins. Hand cut fries were so good and the Philly cheesesteak on toast was the best I’ve had in a long time. The girl working the register was nice and attentive and the price was very reasonable. Everything was perfect.

When ya ask for crispy bacon, it’s delivered 1/2 cooked… disappointed Don’t remember waitress coming back to check on us after our food was served. Makes it difficult to make it right. Disappointed. Will take photos for Sure from now on.
