My third time here. Very hit and miss. Came several years ago and was extremely disappointed. Tried again about a year ago and it was fantastic. Once again came back tonight and again was not happy. If I return again it would be for only the steak.

We found Backwoods Bayou while searching for gas and food heading north from Louisiana after hurricane IDA. The food was great, best steak I've had in a long time. In this case also the first real meal we'd had in a few days. The staff and even the owner Mr. David stopped by our table to ask us how we were in the most sincere and genuine way, the kindness in the peoplea hearts is amazing. Thank you for being a true blessing in the midst of so much hurt and chaos. You will be seeing us much more in the future.

My husband decided to pick this place tonight for a "date" and I am so glad he did! The atmosphere was warm and the staff was very friendly! The food was fantastic! The serving were so big that we have another meal for the both of us! Their food was the best Cajun food since I don’t know when! Truly a diamond in the rough!

Very good. Found it through a Google search. I had grilled shrimp. My husband had stuffed flounder. We both really enjoyed our meals. There were several other things on the menu that we'd love to try. Great food, large portions, good prices, and excellent customer service. So glad to find this place. Highly recommend

I had catfish Savannah with the catfish grilled and it was delicious! I recommend to anyone that enjoys cajun cooking to try it out. My gf had a grilled chicken sandwich and she really enjoyed it as well.
