My family and I were visiting a friend in a neighboring town. It was her birthday so I looked up bakeries nearby which led me to Janie’s. I called and the woman who answered was incredibly kind and helpful, happily answering all of my questions! When we arrived, the location was very cool and the staff was very nice. When my daughter picked up the cake at the scheduled time at 4:00pm they hadn't even started making the cake and the cake was not ready till an hour later. Once my daughter got the cake home the whole cake had slid of the plate it is placed on and smashed into the side of the box. I tried to contact the owner and once she contacted me back she says once the cake leaves her shop it's the customers responsibility. My wife placed an order for our Christmas party on Wednesday . She was told she could pick up the order Saturday (today) at 10. She arrived to pick the order, from Magnolia , at 11. She was informed that the order was not ready and would be ready later with no exact time able to be provided. The fact that they knew she would be there a minimum by 10, and didn’t call shows a lack of professionalism and respect for others time. Very disappointing to say the least.
