Kody cooks a great tasting and tender rib eye and the fish is great as well. It can get crowded but that is because of the food. The wait staff hurries to get the orders out. Our waitress was Jenny and she was great.

12/11/25 update. My steak was big and had great flavor an according to our waitress was cooked by a lady perfectly to my request, the greens are sweet which I love, the whole catfish my wife got was nicely crusted and moist. No room for dessert but they all looked good just no room!! I almost forgot our waitress was GREAT named McKenna or that was the great lady grillmasters name, not for sure but will be back!!!

A good ol' country restaurant and we absolutely loved it. Our waitress Lauren guided us through the menu. She was so nice and helpful. The steaks were cooked to perfection and well seasoned. Can't wait to come back and feed the catfish out back! The Chatterbox is a hidden gem in North Mississippi!

Let me start by saying I called ahead to make reservations for a party of 15 at 6:00pm on Saturday, September 13th at Chatterbox. I was told they do not take reservations, only first come, first served. No problem, thank you ma’am. To be proactive, I had a friend arrive a few minutes early so our name could be put on the list. They informed the hostess that 13 of the group would be there at 6pm, with 3 running a little late. The hostess said that was fine, but we could not be seated until all 13 had arrived. Fair enough. When we were finally seated, only 8 of us were allowed to sit together while the rest of our group was placed at a separate table because they refused to move tables together. That was disappointing, but we let it go. The real issue came when the last 3 members of our group arrived. They told the hostess they were with our party in the back, but were told, “We don’t have a party.” They were then flat-out refused seating. Meanwhile, a large party of 8 was leaving and a 4-top right next to us was also about to leave. Instead of asking our guests to wait a few minutes for those tables to clear, the hostess simply refused them. To add to the frustration, there was no wait at this time. This was extremely poor customer service from the front of the house. Our server, however, was amazing and the food was excellent, as always. Unfortunately, the front of house staff has consistently shown bad attitudes and poor customer service, which really takes away from the overall experience.

They don't know how to cook steak. They had no sodas, it either had water or tea, very did not like the food

Great Southern fare . I seriously recommend you try this place. I was very impressed!!

Tried this place based on FB reviews, Not going back. Decent atmosphere, but the wait was almost an hour, service was barely there, and the food made us sick since it is not made fresh daily, especially the cole slaw - clearly three days old.

Basically - it's the best steakhouse in DeSoto County. The desserts are homemade, the baked potatoes are the bomb and the steaks are perfect. The service is like visiting with family. They are great!

Wonderful fried fish. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend! Also, they sell fish food for the pond, great activity for the kids.

Excellent steaks! A person in my party had the fish and said it was really good. All the sides we had were great.

I don’t eat steak out very often because I prefer to cook my own. However, I just had an awesome 16 oz. Ribeye, as did 3 other people with me. My son loved their chicken tenders too and, believe me, chicken tenders are his thing. Service was great as well. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!!!

My wife gives this place two thumbs way up! Relaxed atmosphere and good people. We've been going for years and years.
