I’ve been wanting to try Cooking Diva for a while, and I’m sooo thrilled I finally did! I had the mac n’ cheese, yams, and fried chicken and everything was amazing. The chicken was hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The sides were delicious, and those yams tasted just like my mom’s. Canton, y’all have a winner right here baby! The service was friendly and fast, and the place was clean and welcoming. I’m utterly blown away and I’m not easily impressed. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Hey April, I was trying to find your restaurant on Social Media so I could do a review!!!!! Let me tell you, CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU sweetheart!!!!!! Bc the food was DELECTABLE!!! I’m not a “collard green” type girl, but April, they were to die for… I always thought “Char”, or “Half Shell”, had the best “Sweet mashed casserole”, sorry… yours was top tier!!! So my main entree was the”TURKEY WINGS”, which came with 2, of course I had to save one for the next day because it was more than enough…. the mini cornbread 🤏🏾!! Literally everything was AMAZING!!! I rate everything an 11!!!!!! Congratulations again, I will return!!!
Oh one other thing I was expecting some “sweet tea”!

OMG the food is delicious! Great food , great customer service, beautiful environment. Get there early because the traffic is thick. Can’t wait til they put tables on the back porch. Oh, I Love this place!!!!

Come here for a true southern experience In Exceptional cooking! I had the hot dark chicken plate with two sides- fried okra and sweet potato casserole. Y’all that casserole is a freaking dessert! The fried okra was fresh and that chicken y’all- perfectly fried, juicy and the hot sauce is totally homemade and dare I say sweet! It’s a hot/spicy sweet mix that is addictive. We also got the catfish plate with Mac n cheese n mashed potatoes. That Mac n cheese is actually made from scratch. My second favorite thing, besides the hot sauce 😅 was the banana pudding. It was so light and fresh. I have to get here earlier next time to get some sweet potato pie because I KNOW that shit is gonna be amazing.
The chopped steak tasted like it came from the frozen section of the grocery store, but everything else was good.

When you are looking for that town favorite that tastes like a home cooked meal, the cooking diva is it. Because it's a home cooked meal. The Nashville hot chicken with red beans and rice and Mac and cheese, freaking delicious! I will be going back 100%
