Mama 'n' Em, Southern Table & Bar

Very enjoyable experience from the atmosphere to the food and the staff was wonderful. Big city fine dining in a small town, you should give it a try.

Food was okay, but expected more. We had meatloaf, crab appetizer which wasn't that appealing. Steak was great. Food was not hot as it should have been. Service was excellent.

We started with old fashions to drink and crab stack for appetizer. Both were wonderful. Our entrees came out over an HOUR later! The wait was ridiculous and the service was far from acceptable. I got the chicken & dumplings. I did not like the gravy so I just scrapped off what I could and ate some of the dumplings. Husband got the catfish with collards and liked both.

It’s sad cause the food is pretty good, but the service was poor. My husband never was served his food after 30 minutes of waiting and myself and brother in law already finished our food. We were never given an apology or reason and we left and cancelled his order. Overall not worth it.

Horrific service- seated immediately- then sat for 15 minutes in an empty restaurant waiting for someone to get a drink order. Was told their was no tea, then they serve tea to the next couple that sat next to us, then we didn’t receive the complimentary bread until we asked, it’s been 30 minutes since we ordered our food and we are still waiting, there is only one other couple in the whole place.

Ridiculous service. 6 employees standing around doing nothing. Bartender was too busy talking to a blow hard, and after 15 minutes I walked up and interrupted to get our drinks. Server didn't know what pinoit grigio was. They do not give a rip about customers and I'll never be back, and they don't care.

Their Thanksgiving meal was absolutely divine! I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service! It is definitely becoming one of my absolute favorite restaurants!

Absolutely the worst service from any place I've ever eaten. We got sat at a table and waited for about 20 minutes, nobody even took our drink order. Same with the table beside us. The people beside us just left and we moved to the bar. The bartender past us probably 25 times and never took our drink order either. Pretty sure we were treated this way because we are white. We left never having even a drink.

The fried chicken was excellent. Our server was attentive to our needs. Great food for casino offerings.

Unfortunately this overpriced experience was something of a let-down. Chicken and Waffles--the waffle was soggy and cold! The chicken was excellent, however. But this was the only excellent thing. Pancakes were cold and soggy as well. Biscuits were okay except the bacon was completely raw inside one! Grits were acceptable, one supposes. But for 30 dollars a head for breakfast there really shouldn't be any mistakes at all--much less a soggy waffle! A waffle must be crisp. It is expected. It is standard. It is the basic excellence you can find for free in any hotel lobby in America. So why can't you find it here? A grand mystery.

Not to mention the inexplicably "rare" bacon.

Actual server did fine, no problem with them. It is the union of poor food and extreme price that is the issue.

It is also rather loud.

Mama 'N' Em serves up some seriously delicious comfort food. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, the mac and cheese was creamy, and the collard greens were seasoned just right. However, the service was a bit lacking. My drink sat empty for quite a while, and I didn’t see any servers around even though it wasn’t busy. Despite that, the food alone makes it worth a visit!

Parking: Parking for the casino is large. You may have to park far out depending on how busy the casino is at that time.

Sitting down grabbing dinner. This little place has an amazing Shrimp Po Boy and Mac and Cheese. The Atmosphere is laid back with great blues music, the bar has a large selection of alcohol if you need a fix me up. The service is incredible, service with a smile and a laugh. It can't get much better than this. Swing by when you are at the Golden Moon and tell Miss Tysheena that Art sent you.

The service was pretty good. However, we did not get the high-top table as requested. The brussels and shrimp appetizer was fantastic, but the pork chop were not very desirable at all. They were super dry from being over cooked.

I had made a reservation hours before dinner. We had an extra guest and they were very rude and didn't want to accommodate our extra guest. It would not have hurt to pull up an extra chair. We left and went to other restaurant in the casino.

My chicken salad over spinach was not good the chichen salad tasted spoiled the waitress was so nice and remove the chicken salad from my ticket. Then the oysters on the half shell was burnt on the botton the waitrees come over and ask me how are the oysters i told her not good they are burnt on the botton the waitress remove that item for our ticket. My husband's fish was good but his mashed potatoes came out cold he ask our waitress for some hot masked potatoes the second potatoes came out still cold. Also we had to wait 30 min to get our food and the kicker Mama'n'Em was not busy we had a concert to attend. We arrive at Mama'n'Em and seated at 6:20pm we did not get serived until 6:55pm.
