The food was not as good as it had been in the past! My wife's chili cheese burger was just ok, the tamales fell apart and didn't have the same flavor as past and my BBQ was not that good, the meat was soggy and didn't have much flavor.We had a party of 12 and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. The staff was amazing and the food was spot on!

Great stop for lunch, we had the bbq pork sandwich and the tamales with chili and cheese and lettuce and tomato. The tamales were tasty and a bit spicy which suited my taste. Friendly service and an old fashioned atmosphere that can only come from being in business decades. It’s a don’t miss if you are traveling through the area.

Probably the most authentic BBQ restaurant I have ever been to - it is a must on the way down to Louisiana. My favorite is the rack of pork ribs - nicely smoked with the Abe's BBQ Sauce. Service is excellent- small atmosphere minus for the plastic plates and knives.

Service was great. Had the bbq pork plate. Meat did not have a Smokey taste. Appeared that the pork was cooked on the griddle. Beans were straight from a can. No bbq taste what so ever. Kinda pricey, definitely will not be returning

Loved this place! I wanted to try the tamales just because I was skeptical. My husband was extremely skeptical and together we licked the plate clean. The chopped BBQ pork sandwich with slaw and Abe’s sauce did not disappoint either. Love the old school atmosphere and southern hospitality. Highly recommend.
We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, and was greeted by some of the most wonderful people. Very welcoming, we felt an amazing hospitality. The BBQ was hot, fresh, really good, fall off the bone good! Definitely worth a stop. If in the area again we will be back!
