I love Rest Haven! They make me feel like family. Food is always on point service has never been less than awesome. Favorite food in my favorite semi local town to eat out. Every menu item has been perfect. Just close your eyes and point at any menu item.
Food was good.. We had the breakfast platter which had eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Server was friendly.
Went there twice for breakfast and the food was great. The Kibbeh Omelet blew me away. Never had Kibbeh before, but I will at every chance from here on. I would have given this five stars but the service was slow, probably due to a short staff, and I wish they would have had something different on the TV not Fox News.
Being there is not a whole lot of choices in this area, went there twice. Breakfast was very good, eggs served warm, meats good, and prices fair. Country Fried Steak for lunch was great, he gyro was good, and hamburger good as well. Service a bit slow, especially for a yankee. Given the other choices in the area this is the best.
Very good place to eat. Owner very warm hearted and friendly. Establishment been around for many years, can use some updating but the service was very good.
My son and I duck hunt this area annually and always visit Paula and her staff at the Rest Haven. All of their food, breakfast, lunch and dinner, is delicious and usually more than I can eat. If you are looking for a wide variety menu, good location, wonderful people, visit the Rest Haven for excellent service and delicious food. Tell Paula the Georgia Boys said howdy !!!!! Just a great experience and we are already looking forward to our next trip.
This is one quirky restaurant. Family-owned for more than 50 years, the restaurant serves Italian, Lebanese, and Southern dishes. The daughter of the owner was doing it all, taking orders, serving, and I believe she was also cooking pies. A man took our order. I think he was the cook. One server did not have a good command of the English language, and just bused tables. Although the restaurant was not even close to full, it took a long time to place an order, and even longer to get the food. One group left before their food was served. My husband went and refilled our coffee. When our food was finally served, the lady said she would give us free pie because we had to wait so long. I had kibbe and cabbage rolls. I’d never had kibbe before, but it was flavorful, if a bit dry. The cabbage was overcooked and the filling was bland. My husband had a hamburger steak with gravy. It was large, and good, but the french fries seemed to be frozen and baked. Not so good. It took forever to get the pie, but it was coconut, and still warm. The pie made all the rest worth it. Delicious! So, if you are not in any particular hurry, this is an interesting place to visit, but be sure to order some pie!
Everyone is so friendly. The owners come out and speak and hold conversation. The food is good. I always get the roast beef. There is plenty for the money.. There is a nice atmosphere.
Rest Haven has been around for generations. You will find authentic Lebanese food here. They have raw, baked, fried and stuffed Kibbie which is excellent. The grape leaves and cabbage rolls compliment any kind of Kibbie. Paula's pies are absolutely delicious. My favorite is her chocolate but the coconut is equally good.
Great Lebanese food and American comfort foods. Friendliest folks and you can’t beat the service. Where the locals go which makes it that much better. And you have to try the chocolate pie - to die for - and generous portions. You won’t leave hungry.

Every time I'm in Clarksdale, this is one of the places that I visit. I have a problem moving far from the baked kibbie or kibbie salad - delicious with the homemade dressing and pita bread! Everyone talks about the grape leaves and stuffed cabbage rolls and I"m no exception. I especially love the grape leaves, which have a little bit of a vinegar tang to them and are just perfect. They slap a famous place in Jackson, MS all up one side and down the other for taste and texture. They serve spaghetti that is wonderful, with plenty to fill your plate and lots of seasoning. Save room for dessert because they do homemade pies that have a sweet sizeable topping of meringue not to be missed! Don't go for fancy tables, or you don' t need to stop here - but if you like good food, a hometown atmosphere (because this is a regular for locals) and friendly people, put this on your list of places to stop.
Great food, generous servings, and friendly service are just a few of the reasons folks drive miles to enjoy eating at Rest Haven. Best of all is its authentic, old-school, family-run atmosphere. We have never been disappointed and always take home some kibbee, cabbage rolls and chocolate pie for later.
Call me crazy, but when you get a chance to eat Lebanese food for breakfast grab it. Raw kibbie, a kibbie omelette, and a plate that included stuffed kibbie and grape leaves. Topped all that off with a slice of still warm coconut cream pie! It’s a diner, and manage your expectations for a great meal.
Homemade foods are special here. We thoroughly enjoyed a plate of stuffed kibbie, grape leaves and cabbage rolls.
We have been here twice and the food has been wonderful both times. Super friendly staff as well. Lots of seating.
