Our Grandma's House of Pancakes

This place is disgusting. There are roaches crawling on the floor and walls. Eggs, hash browns severely undercooked and the coffee has no taste. Thank God there is a McDonald's not too far away. Skip this place if you value your health or overall hygiene. Gotta go take a bath now.

Grandma’s House is a staple of downtown Clarksdale, an institution that brings the whole city together. Rich, poor, Black, white, local, and visitor alike. Everyone stops by Grandma’s House - and as soon as Tina seats you and serves you a cup of coffee you’ll see why. She makes the place feel just like home.

Archie and the Grandma’s team do all the timeless classics like only grandma could - coffee, pancakes, eggs, bacon. So next time you’re looking for breakfast or a bottomless cup of coffee, c’mon down to Clarksdale and sit a spell with Tina and the Grandma’s crew. Can’t find better people to spend the morning with.

This was a great stop for breakfast! They have good home cooking such as omelettes and pancakes of course! They have waffles too which looked great. Lots of nest photos on the walls. A little dusty but it adds charm.

Happy they were open on Memorial Day when most of Clarksdale was not. Food was outstanding, had a pork chop special that was delicious and their pancakes are top-notch.

In town for a day and decided to stop in for breakfast. I was overly excited and looking forward to this meal. I ordered pancakes, eggs, grits and sausage. We got there a little after they opened, around 7:30. The grits were undercooked and the pancakes were near burned. I only ate half a pancake, sausage and eggs. We were really short on time so I didn’t have time to request a new batch.
