This restaurant might be good, but we will never know. We drove TWO HOURS to eat at Airport Grocery because it was recommended as a fun experience. We were seated and there were 3 tables with customers in the entire restaurant. After TWENTY FIVE minutes of waiting, no tea order taken, no greeting by server, we got up and left. We will not return- ever. THREE tables of customers in the whole restaurant. We literally watched the waitress have a full-on conversation with one of the tables. She stood there the whole time. The other table by us wasn’t checked on either, no refills, etc. Guess her conversation was really important! Wish I could review as “0.” Absolutely a complete joke of a restaurant.

The overall place was really cool. Allot of old decor that was very interesting to see. But the wait for the food which was a daily special and a hamburger was 45 minutes. My husbands burger wasn’t hot. The daily special was very small portioned. Was not busy at the time. We travel daily so eating on the rd is importance to us. I truly hope some changes can be made to make it better.

Food was good and atmosphere was cool. However the waitstaff and service was horrible! Once we ordered we never saw our waitress again and I had to go find someone else to get us drinks. She only had two tables so she wasn’t busy. Then she gave us our ticket but never came back to get the payment. I went to the counter and waited to be acknowledged for 15min. While there two couples had come in that had waited for almost twenty minutes and hadn’t even been acknowledged by anyone. Finally one of the men actually took a bus cart and cleaned a booth so he and his wife could have a table while staff members just watched. It’s such a cool restaurant and sad because the staff and management really seemed to not care at all about any of the customers.

My first time trying frog legs 😳 They were DELICIOUS! The atmosphere was charming and the food was scrumptious. Our waiter was the best. Very friendly and took great care of us. This was also my first time eating here and I will be back. ♥️

It was a really cool restaurant with decent service but the food just wasn't that good. I started with the tamales and they weren't hitting it. They kind of had a slimy texture to them. The BBQ sandwich that I got had potential if it hadn't been for the tough hard pieces of meat mixed in with it. Why restaurants try to serve customers meat lime this I will never understand. But it is a very cool atmosphere.

Food took entirely too long , service was bad all together. After a long day of handling business at a college me and my family decided to try this restaurant. The reviews looked great but my experience was totally different. Our server, Erica , wasted our time. We sat at 11 , and didn’t get out drinks until 12:30. Our food was digusting and took an additional hour. Not to mention the racist activity. Walking to the bathroom , I couldn’t help but notice the slave photos hung up as if it was a flex of how black people were treated back then. Then it was the biggest photo hung up. I order chicken tenders and it was disgusting , it tasted like fish. As a person who cooks how could you fry chicken in the same batter as fish, you have no respect for your customers and now we see. When waiting for our food we looked over at the people who sat beside us , who were white. And got their drinks in two minutes. Also the sweet tea tasted disgusting , and Dr Pepper tastes like a Pepsi with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Please if you are black or just a person all together do not go to this restaurant!!
