I have been there a few times. The food is okay overall. I tried the Famous “Black Cat” dish twice….both times there was part of my blackened catfish that was uncooked and it tasted very fishy and not fresh. The second time I ordered the Black Cat dish they left my crawfish topping off. By the time I noticed it, they had closed. When I called the next day and asked them to make it over. they would only do it if I brought the old food back. Thank God I keep the food because if I wouldn’t have I would not have gotten anything due to their mess up. Also, they just reheated the meal I brought back, added sauce, gave me my old side salad back instead of remaking it for me after I paid $35 for the meal. The meal made me really sick to my stomach after I attempted to eat some of it. I will not say that all of my experiences there were bad but the last one really wasn’t a good one.

This local restaurant recently changed management & started serving lunch. Yesterday my husband & I went for lunch for the first time. Our waitress was great & food was prompt & delicious. Best of all was the atmosphere- it was so nice that my stress level went down two notches over lunch. I can’t wait to try more items off their menu!

We went here for my husband’s birthday. We traveled from out of town. We had a party of 12. The waitress name April waited on us. The attitude she had was NOT friendly at all. She never came to check on us other than to bring our food in pieces. We all didn’t get our food at the same time after waiting a hour. Some of us didn’t get all our order. We asked April for the manager. The desk attendant that sat us asked us what the problem was. She said the manager was busy. April never came back. The attendant gave us our messed up check orders. We will NEVER go back to Backdraft.

We were there early Jan 2024 and it was fairly empty. Received okay service. The usher was very nice and she sat us at our table. The waitress was barely courteous. They gave us the wine and beer list. I asked for a glass of wine and was told they don't serve liquor. So we got beer.The food was okay. We asked for the check and found a 10$ extra charge and no one could explain what it was for. The usher finally told us if we had paid cash it would have been okay.So bottom line they charge 10$ for using a credit card. And this is not anywhere on the menu or in the restaurant. The waitress won't tell you.Also we're not white folks and throughout there was a distinct vibe of discrimination.Summary - the restaurant is pricey.Service is poor and depends on your skin colorFood is okay.They have hidden charges.Beware!
