I was extremely disappointed here. Worse experience ever. The restaurant has a hidden 10% "gratis" tip imposed on customers without asking for permission, which I believe is unacceptable. Tips should be optional and left up to the customer's discretion based on their satisfaction with the service and food.To make matters worse, the food wasn't even good the way I wanted it. And if you pay with a debit or credit card, they tack on an additional 3% fee in the name of the credit card company! I've never heard of credit card companies imposing fees on customers in a restaurant before. It's outrageous!I strongly encourage all customers to carefully review their bills before paying to avoid these unnecessary charges. Overall, my experience at Chinese Sakura Buffet was a complete disappointment, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I’m on the road a lot and you can tell on my reviews. I tried to eat in places where I can choose what to eat to make better choices.This buffet offers a variety of items including the Hibachi.I don’t have anything negative about the food or service but if you pay attention on cleanliness, this place needs a deep cleaning.Some of the serving utensils were sticky.Napkin dispenser covered with grease and dust.Carpet also needs cleaning or a better idea,Replace it!!

Atmosphere is probably the best aspect of being here. The service isn’t horrible, and honestly since I went by myself I expected to not be as served on compared to the larger parties that came in shortly after me. I work hospitality so I get it, and honestly I was fine being left on my own ? but they don’t clear used plates from the table until you’ve had them stacked for over an hour and you have to actively ask for a refill (honestly I’m fine asking for a refill but clearing tables of finished plates as needed is a big part of FOH responsibilities). The sushi is not kept in any kind of temperature controlled environment, instead being left out in front of the station on plates. There are only 2 tongs available to pick up the sushi with. This presents 2 major issues with allergies and time temperature abuse, as several rolls included raw fish and no one knows how long the sushi has been sitting there (food safety and sanitation laws demand food be thrown out after being in the danger zone for 2 hours, 41-140 degrees). The hibachi station was mainly abandoned. I saw multiple staff members refilling food on the hot buffet line and salad bar without putting on gloves first. The food was honestly just not good, and was bland at best (I tried pretty much a bite of everything except for the southern staple area that had Mac n cheese/meatloaf/etc). I think the best thing I ate was a salad off the cold side and one of the premade cream puff looking desserts that they got from the store. Not worth the $14 unless your desperate for some quick food, have a large family to feed on a budget, or prefer your food on the blander side.

Completely done with this place! My wife and I have been coming here for 4 years. At first it was what to be expected of your typical chinese takeout joint. Slowly the prices have gone up and the food quality has gone down! Seems next to impossible to customize dishes (excluding items from dish ect.) The only way to get fresh-ish sushi is to order it, the sushi buffet is always empty and there is never anyone there to help, so good luck getting someone to get you hibachi or more sushi. As someone who has worked in the service industry for a long time, it drives me crazy to watch them pour the old food on top of the new! And when you need a refill they dont bring you a new glass they remove it from the table and refill the glass you are currently drinking from. I dont know maybe Mississippi is different, but when I worked in the food industry in Kentucky, these were huge health code violations! The place has gone way to far downhill for the steady increase in price! Will not be coming back!
