This place was awesome! We went here for my NanašŸøšŸ€ā€™s 99th birthday. There was one server and she was an absolute joy. She has amazing work ethic and the food came out fast and it was delicious. It was a beautiful time they even gave her a card for her birthday.

The food was okay but I’ve had better, I just didn’t like the service I received today. The waitress was somewhat rude and didn’t check to see if we needed anything and it took almost an hour for our food to come to us when everybody else including people that came after us have received their food before us. I definitely won’t be coming back

I had a taste for gumbo for lunch and decided on this location. The gumbo was SUPER salty. It had visible pieces of shrimp and crawfish tails, but the roux looked like a thick, dark, gravy the was greasy/oily. If you have high blood pressure like myself, I'd advise against it. I had to drink a lot of water (24oz) to get the salt taste out of my mouth.

Waitress got redfish dish mixed up with another patron. Brought baked potato out 15 min after entree. Potato unedible...not done. Butter didn't taste like butter. No presentation. Restraunt wasn't busy, so that wasn't problem. Redfish was less than warm. Gumbo and tea were good. Cozy atmosphere. Won't be back...70$ for subpar unacceptable. Waitress blamed order mixup on poor lighting

Delicious food.
Very slow service. Only one server and a full house. Server was working hard, just not enough servers to go around.

Nothing special, food ok, service was not good, as there was only one waitress. She was very nice, very accommodating!!My crawfish poor boy was bland. Daughter had Jambalaya, was little tasty (served in chipped dish). Was expecting more after reading reviews before we went. Probably won't go back.

This place is great. We were traveling through the area and decided to stop here. Everyone was satisfied, and the service was outstanding. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing as well. We ended up staying a bit past close, yet they did not rush us out even though they had closed already. I'm not sure if we will be back in town. However, if we are, we will definitely make this a destination!

First time eating at the restaurant and I must say everything was delicious. It is family oriented. It's clean. The cooks engage with the customers and know their names. Lexus was multi tasking and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was well prepared, presented and worth the money.

I ordered Fried Catfish and Fried Green tomatoes. I must give 5 stars because my food and service was great. Not too often we receive that around this area. No offense to any other restaurants. Just sharing my experience.. ?

Called In a to go order at Nawlin’s Grill in Clinton.
Gave them my card and she handed the cc machine so I could add the tip.
No tip… you are handing this out the window.
I thought to myself boy that was high. Started looking at the ticket, my order should have been $12.00 I got the basket. I did ask if I could sub. A dinner salad in place of the cold slaw; No problem.
Mine was $18.50. I told them I was charged wrong; the girl said I up graded you to the meal because you wanted the salad. I reminded her about the substitute for the salad and she said she gave me extra fish.
Well I didn’t want extra fish and I didn’t order the dinner. Plus you added a $3.00 tip for handing this out the window. (Remember she asked for an additional tip too).
She said please wait a minute. The next thing you know the owner was handing me a salad out the window. THEY FORGOT THE SALAD!
Get home- open up the box and my fried fish and French fries are one big mushy blob!
THANK YOU NAWLINā€s GRILL FOR MESSING UP MY DINNER!!!

Food was wonderful, service was a little off. Seems they were working on call in orders more than sitting customers. Have over a hour to spare but the food is great.

A "hidden gem". The wait staff are a pleasure while the food is wonderfully cooked and served timely. While I can't eat seafood, my six dining companions were pleased with the fried oysters, shrimp dishes, and everything that was ordered including deserts. I had catfish, which evaporated from my plate at an astonishing rate.
