Steaks are just not as great as they use to be.
When I go out to eat with my wife, that's what I expect to do.... when we both order our Steaks the same... Why does hers come out perfect and mine cones out overcooked.
They tried to correct the situation but by the time they brought the other steak out it was under cooked and my wife had finished her meal.
So did we go out and enjoy a Steak dinner together.... NOT .
What's bad is this is a place we enjoy going to.
Even though they offered me a choice of choosing another entrée..... the thought was destroyed. They should have offered us a free steak dinner at another day but didn't. Instead I got a bill for my wife's dinner.
Talk about destroying the atmosphere of the reason we went there.
It's a shame, especially since we like the place and the people there.
They just handled the situation as they really didn't care. And we go there every one to two weeks.

Guess we need to find somewhere else to spend $100.-

Let me preface by saying it was busy. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table. The appetizers cole slaw, greens, and hush puppies are awesome. The server was super nice, it just took a long time for entree.

We were in town visiting relatives and wanted some of that good ol' Mississippi fried catfish because nobody does it better. Went to the Opry House for dinner. Very cool atmosphere. Service was friendly, the catfish was very good, and the tea was sweet just like I like it! Enjoyed it very much.

I’ve visited Salem Opry House Restaurant before and wanted to continue supporting local businesses, but this visit left me disappointed.

We arrived and ordered at 6:00 PM. Our food didn’t come out until 7:28 PM—and it was cold. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, so the long wait was frustrating.

On top of that, we were told snow crab clusters would be $8 each with an entrée, but were charged $9.75 per cluster, along with other fees we weren’t informed about (like an extra plate charge). The extra cost wasn’t the real issue—being surprised at checkout was. If I’d known, I could’ve just ordered something different instead of the charging additional fees.

When I asked about the ticket, I was snapped at and basically told to pay. I opted for carry-out since we’d waited so long, but the staff member left my food on the counter and walked away when I inquired about the charges. There was no apology for the delay or cold food.

I don’t want to assume the worst about why service felt different for us, but the lack of communication and courtesy left a bad taste. The rest of the staff was polite, but one person’s attitude can ruin an entire experience. Sadly, I won’t be returning or recommending this place anymore.

Fried whole catfish from MS delta was very good! Served with a side and then the table had shared sides of coleslaw, hush puppies, and collard greens for all. Waitress was attentive and atmosphere relaxed.

Plenty of food and so good. Great service and everyone was friendly. It might be in an unexpected place but it’s worth the drive.

My sisters and I took my mom here as a birthday dinner. The food was delicious and you really get ALOT for your money. My mom and I had the Mixed Catfish plate and my sisters had the crab legs and filets. Oh and let’s not forget those fixings!!!! All in all, 10 stars and just know that no food was finished. I’ll be eating fish as my Sunday meal?
