Ordered a whole rack ribs and whole smoked chicken. They were delicious!! Highly recommend for dining in or take out! 5 out of 5!

Guys you guys know that I don’t give out restaurant recommendations lightly/easily, but let me tell u about a new restaurant I found just outside of Columbus , Ms called Davey Jay’s BBQ! I found out it was owned by an old high school friend of mine Jason Brock and had to try it out and was seriously impressed! The waiting staff was incredible and constantly checking on us, as was the owner. I had the privilege of touring the kitchen and cooking area and all of those staff members met me with a smile and handshake. They made me feel right at home. I wanted to grab a spatula and jump on the grill with them!!! But I had food to try! And it didn’t disappoint! Jason even let me try a few “special items” like their lobster Rangoon and fried banana pudding that were both insanely good and made this fat boy happy! We had smoked chicken, bbq sandwiches, cheese sticks, great onion rings, and baked all served with a smile. Had to try their grilled oysters as well and they left me wanting more!!! Soooo good. They were a little small but they are supposed to be smaller but much sweeter than your typical Appalachicola oysters due to the species and area of Alabama where they were harvested. I ordered 6 but they gave me 8 due to their size without me saying a word. Their steaks and ribs looked and smelled incredible also! Can’t say enough about this place!

The food was good, the service and staff were excellent. I'm glad I got there when they opened, because the place filled up fast. The brisket was good. I would go again to try other meat options.

Hands down! Not a fluke! Best damn brisket I've ever had. Had to go twice before I made my decree. I made my way through my go to's. Pulled pork, baked beans, and ribs. With much satisfaction. So the brisket was today and I'm truly amazed how tender a steak could be. I was so stunned that I had to order the peach cobbler and coffee.Yes yes thank you Bob Bob for this place.
