CJ's Pizza of Columbus

We went out for my dad’s birthday dinner expecting a phenomenal meal like the past…Well that wasn’t the case this evening. We went in around 6:35, it was pretty quiet and we were greeted first thing. But after our food was ordered we were there for about 45 minutes before our 2 lasagna’s, chicken Parmesan, baked ziti, and meatball came out. The lasagna was under cooked and at least mine was cold when I got it. The Ziti seemed over baked. The meatball came out gray and undercooked in the middle. My dad got a piece of the tiramisu and it also seemed frozen in the middle. Before we got our food the servers were becoming impatient and we could hear them loudly gossiping in the back, which wasn’t enjoyable background noise. Also the servers seemed overwhelmed and had to close the restaurant about 30 minutes before closing because of how backed up on to-go orders they were and were tending to the to-go orders much more than the customers in house which we found odd. Overall it wasn’t very good…but maybe we’ll try again at lunch sometime.

The pizza was good, and I received prompt, courteous service.

Great little spot to grab a pizza. I went in and placed an order to go, pizza was fresh out of the oven in about 10 minutes. Pizza is reasonably priced and tasted great. I will definitely remember this spot the next time I am passing through.

CJ’s is a long time pizza and Italian eatery. The lunch special is a good value. You get a personal sized pizza, dessert, side, and a drink. My favorite pizza is the rock and roll and the fried cheese curds are great. Items don’t come out fast and you may have to track a server down to get a refill but the food is hot and delicious. I don’t recommend getting a salad or the boneless wings. The salad is basically a pitiful pile of iceberg lettuce and not much else.

Dietary restrictions: They do have a gluten free crust option that is tasty but always remind the eater that the gluten is not guaranteed because of other items being made in the kitchen.

I’ve been eating here for over 10 years, and I personally find a lot of these negative reviews hard to believe. The service is always great and the pizza is second to none. The Rock n Roll hasn’t changed in all the years I’ve been eating it and it’s my favorite pizza I’ve ever had.The appetizers are awesome — especially the artichoke bread. Their spaghetti is excellent as well.

Bland, tasteless, boring pizza. WAY too pricy. I've had better frozen pizzas. The sauce is too watery and I couldn't taste anything but the onion on my pizza. Go to papa johns for cheaper, better tasting food.

I have no issue with the service, or restaurant...I did take-out, wanting to try the place out, and my goodness....It's more expensive than the chains (Papa Johns always has 25% off coupons you can find online), and the pizzas are smaller.I would at least expect the pizza to be great.....nope. the whole pizza tasted bland, and the sauce was so watery, it was dripping. It made the pizza soggy and gross. We got 3 pizzas, all 3 were like this.The tiramasu also just seemed frozen and store bought, which is a shame.We could have saved like $20, and just got Papa John's, which would have tasted way better. I advise anyone reading this to do the same.

Passing thru from out of town wanted pizza saw good reviews on google. Reviews were spot on. Excellent pizza with fresh ingredients the sauce was different from any I’ve ever tasted sooo good. Lots of cheese and meat. Very good and fast friendly service. If your looking for a great pizza C J’s of Columbus , MS is the place you won’t be disappointed!!
