My family and I ate here yesterday morning and every worker we interacted with was so friendly and did their best to make us feel at home. Emily came out to check on our table and she was the sweetest! The food was hot and the service was quick. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cozy breakfast spot.

⭐☆☆☆☆ — Extremely Disappointing Experience

On December 28, 2025, I had a very disappointing experience at Cracker Barrel that will ensure I do not return.

I ordered chicken fried chicken, but when the food arrived it looked and tasted noticeably different than expected. I politely asked our waitress if the recipe had changed, as something seemed off. She stated that the recipe had changed like other items on the menu and said she would bring the manager over.

When the manager, Phylicia Johnson , arrived, her demeanor was immediately dismissive and rude. Instead of asking questions or trying to understand the concern, she approached us with an attitude and asked, “Who had a problem with the food?” After we explained, she abruptly stated that nothing had changed and that it had “always been like this.”

We calmly said that maybe it was the flour or seasoning and that something just didn’t sit well with us and to be clear, we did NOT ask for the food to be remade, replaced, or comped. We were simply asking a question.

At that point, Phylicia Johnson began pointing at the food, repeatedly saying, “You see that it’s chicken fried chicken, and that is chicken fried chicken,” in a condescending manner. She then walked over to the waitress and told her that nothing had changed. The waitress, who was a very sweet and caring woman, responded by saying, “I am very sorry about that.”

The manager’s behavior made us feel talked down to, like little children, and completely unworthy of her time. The interaction was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and unnecessary.

This situation could have been handled with honesty and basic courtesy, but instead it escalated due to poor management behavior. Cracker Barrel is known for hospitality, and this experience reflected the complete opposite.

The waitress Nesha was amazing but the manager Felisia Johnson had an attitude. The food I ordered was not what I expected and the waitress called the manager over. She came over with an attitude and talked down to me like I was nothing. I kept my food because I felt so belittled. I wanted to send it back which is something I rarely do. But as I ate my food my family tried to make me feel better. We could have spent our $65 elsewhere. The waitress kept apologizing she was really amazing but that manager had the worse attitude. If you don’t like your job of serving customers courteously then work where you don’t have to deal with people with that STANK face and attitude.

We waited almost 40 minutes to get our food while people just walked in and got their food before we did when it was just two orders. The waitress sucked. Food was cold. The burger had a numerous amount of salt.
