Golden Thai has some of the best Thai food around between Tuscaloosa and Starkville. The restaurant doesn’t look like much but trust me, the food is good. The chicken fried rice, pad thai, and sweet and sour chicken are all excellent choices with five levels of spice. Portion sizes are generous and the servers are all attentive.

I am simply amazed at how good the food at Golden Thai is. They have so many items to choose from on their menu. My favorite is the Shrimp Pho Tom Kha, and the pineapple chicken fried rice. Can't wait to go back...

Hidden gem. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and overall really caring. I left feeling like friends. The food is cooked in-house fresh by the owner every day. I had the Chicken Satay and the Panang Duck Curry. The Satay was delicate and light and had a peanut sauce that was addictive. The curry was cooked perfectly with the duck just the you want it. Crispy yet tender and full of flavor. I'll be back when I'm in town next. I promise. Thank you, Golden Thai Family!

Stopped at this place for a meal, big mistake. Although they were completely empty, the food took so long it was not worth the wait. The prices online is wrong and they do not answer questions at all. Wasted 56 dollars for something that was priced at 42 dollars online but maybe worth 30 dollars. I’m from out of state, the food at this place is weak. Old buffet food is better than this place. I believe the people who rated this place 4 or 5 stars lack tastebuds and have tons of time to waste. Thumbs down 1000%
Though they don't advertise it, Golden Thai is an excellent option for vegan diners who find themselves, for one reason or another, in Columbus Mississippi for a period of time. Most of their dishes and several appetizers can be made vegan and a few would come vegan without you even needing to clarify!! Help yourself to the best Massaman curry I've ever had or the Pho Tom Kha with tofu or vegetable! Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai and so much more! Pro tip: If you order the fresh spring rolls ask to have fried tofu added! So Good!
