Found a long piece plastic bag in my Cole slaw called and told them about they offered me a five percent discount on my next meal by praying it doesn’t make me ill I would not want anything if they offered it to me free it just turned my stomach when I saw the plastic coming out of my coleslaw and it didn’t stop. It was a very long piece up under my coleslaw. I don’t see how they could’ve missed that..

An amazing plate of catfish, hush puppies, and fried veggies. A must stop when in Columbus in my opinion!

Absolutely worst brisket in the state of Mississippi, I think it was baked or boiled and then pulled apart. Little Dooey's in Starkville has proper smoked brisket.

Stay away from Little Dooey's in Columbus! Bad meat! Bad flavor! They don't know anything about BBQ.

Complete frauds.

Drive to Starkville for the real thing.

Been to this place a few times. The first experience was really good. The rest has been very inconsistent. Today it certainly was an all time low… which before I thought the price was super high and today w the food being poor makes me think I’ve had my last meal here. The ribs which is the main specialty were not very meaty and out of paying $18!!!! for six ribs which three were tail end, dry, hard and not a spoonful of meat. Very disappointing. I give two stars bc perhaps you will catch them on a better day! I hope the owners will consider cold calling randomly and see what kind of phone service they experience… I received little to no information when I had to pull them through a conversation to try to determine the most cost effective way to purchase the item I wanted. So frustrating!!!! …especially compounded when they don’t have clear speaking. I hold the owners responsible for putting people in positions they clearly do not have attributes to best represent their business.

This place need a redo. Starting with dirty tables and chairs old dirty table cloths that could been replaced for 5 dollars. The food looked good but I couldn't eat it. Nothing like the starkville location. DO BETTER!!!

The interior got an update last year. It helped as the place looks worn out. The exterior doesn't look promising. It is a local favorite, but out of town customers may be put off by the neglect. The tables and bathrooms are clean, just tired looking.
Food is good. Portions are smaller than the Starkville Dooeys. It is counter ordering, not table service. Service is spotty. Columbus is not a good town for waitstaff, so the best go to Harvies.
We eat here maybe 6 times a year. Far less than other restaurants. A newer simple building would improve the atmosphere and increase out of town customers.
Bottom line: you will get plenty of food (don't expect leftovers), value is fair. The food is actually made there (not just heated up like the chain restaurants). I wish they'd rebuild on the same location. The 60+ year old building just looks sad.

They cant get an order right to save their lives. They are incompetent and rude. The manager told me there wasnt a *gd expletive* thing they would do and i can go *expletive* myself. Avoid at all cost. Mo Jams, Glenns, and Hanks are not only nicer but bettet food.

The girl that took my order and rung me up decided to add and EXTRA 30.00$ to my tip. I noticed it the next day after viewing my online bank statement.

I miss 82 & Alabama, but 45 made up for my sadness today. The ladies were great, professional and nice. My food was hot and delicious. I had the rib combo. Shout out to the staff, especially the cooks. Great job!
