The staff was freindly and the atmosphere was very nice. The decorations were pretty and the food was good. I got the fried momos, I had never had them fried before but it was very tasty. I also got the chicken biryani, it's not spicy but the flavors are very good and the chicken was very tender. The portion size was good, the 2 items we orderd were enough for both my husband and i.

consistently good! staff is soo nice and very helpful. i have frequently driven 30 mins out of my way just to pick up food from here, and i love eating in or picking it up for takeout. i have tried about 3/4ths of the menu at this point, and i havent had anything i havent loved.
there are clearly labelled dietary options, and you can choose your spice level for every dish (1-5, i always get the 3 and its perfect for me). you have to get the garlic naan and the butter chicken! the veg momo dumplings are always a must for me as well. highly reccomend to everyone in the area!!

Just had an AMAZING lunch at Mita's. Great Service! And fantastic food as always. We shared an order of Chicken Choila, it was so good. Definitely on the reorder list.
I ordered the Lentil Soup which is like a warm hug. It is so yummy 😋and filling. Then I ordered the Chicken Chili with Veggies and Rice. Do not forget to order the Garlic Naan it is to die for😋

Becareful when ordering samosa chaat. They literally use my photo on doordash. When I order I get something totally different everytime. Disappointing.

Uodate another picture of samosa chaat.

New update: they use to serve a red chutney sauce for Samosa. Now its an ugly brown sauce that taste like dirt. I called they say they never changed it. Go back on their photos it used to be red and it was delicious.

This place has gone down hill.

I am posting this additional review after reading the restaurant’s response to my previous one, because several statements made in that reply are factually incorrect and misleading.

First, regarding the to-go box:
The to-go box was offered immediately after the momos were placed on our table — not at the end of the meal, not as a “courtesy,” but literally the moment the final dish was served. Asking for a to-go box right after serving food is absolutely a way of rushing customers, whether you admit it or not.

Second, the claim that “the situation escalated and you chose to get up and leave” is false.
At 9:00 PM, your front desk/server clearly said:
“Ma’am, it’s 9 o’clock. We need to close.”
What response do you expect from a customer who is being told this while still eating food that was served at 8:45 PM? Should I beg to finish a meal I already paid for? I will never beg to eat food I paid $54 for.

Third, your reply says you “never intend to make guests feel rushed.”
That directly contradicts what actually happened. Your staff told us they needed to clean and end the shift, which is exactly why we were told to leave. That is not a misunderstanding — that is being pushed out so staff can go home.

Fourth, about the food:
You claim the server asked how the food was and that we said it was “good.” That is not true. We said it was “okay,” not good — and only said that out of basic politeness. Anyone who checks the cameras can clearly see our expressions after the first bite. The food tasted bad, unpleasant, and honestly yuck. We could barely eat it, and eventually left most of it untouched.

Fifth, the constant staring and uncomfortable behavior:
Throughout the meal, the front desk lady continuously stared at us, creating an extremely uneasy environment. As I stated before — she was not openly rude, but she was highly disrespectful, impatient, and clearly more focused on ending her shift than treating customers with basic dignity.

Finally, we did not argue, shout, or create a scene.
We quietly paid and left because we knew one thing for sure: we were never coming back. We understand how to behave in public and how restaurants work. Unfortunately, your staff does not seem to understand how to treat customers who are still eating.

Before posting defensive replies on Google, I strongly suggest the owner check the cameras and audio, especially the tone used when telling us it was time to leave. As I mentioned earlier, this is not a fast-food chain. You do not rush paying dine-in customers out of a restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic food every single time we go to Mita’s. 10/10. The steamed chicken momo dumplings and chicken biryani is always a go to for us. This time I tried a different dish that had two different curries: chicken curry and vegetable curry, as well as a lentil soup and gulab jamun (yummy little cardamom donut ball) all absolutely delicious!

This food is spectacular. So I’m no connoisseur of Nepali food, but what I can say is this: you can tell there are different aromatic spices and flavors in the food rather than just general salt which adds a lot of wonderful depth to each dish. So far, I’ve had the chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani, and the chicken chili over rice. Each dish has its own personality and heat level (1 lowest to 5 highest) and nothing tastes similar, which is great. The interior is very clean and the staff is very welcoming. Do yourself a favor and give it a try! Definitely coming back.

I have only been to Columbus twice, the first time we accidently stumbled on Mita's and the second time we made a point to return here. The butter chicken was delicious and moist and the momo dumplings that my table split were also incredible.

I recommend this place to any of my friends who are going to Columbus.

Went here with my wife for dinner, and we both fell in love with this place. We traveled all around the country, and we both agree this place is one the best Himalayan/Indian restaurants we’ve been to.

We spoke briefly with Mita after our meal, and we can tell that she’s very passionate about her craft and genuinely cares about the customer.

I highly recommend going here, and supporting one of Columbus’s local business. You won’t be disappointed!

We have eaten here several times now and it's been a fantastic experience every time. Catfish curry, Vindi Masala , Momo(dumplings) and literally everything else I have tasted here has been superb. This restaurant is quickly becoming one of my favorites in the area. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

Vegetarian options: Plenty of super tasty vegetarian options. I recommend the Vindi Masala.
