Ordered a 5 PC spicy and a spicy chicken sandwich online. After a 10 minute wait, I was informed that there was no spicy chicken, I agreed for original. Was told to wait 5 minutes for my biscuits. After 10 minutes was told no chicken sandwiches, I could wait an additional 7 minutes. I agreed after another 15 minutes the food came. Total time 43 minutes in store and made it back to my room the chicken tasted more like churches i will never ever, ever ever ever ever go there again.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you of a very distressing experience I had at your Popeyes location in Columbus, Mississippi, on Monday January 27, 2025 around 5pm.
I had just visited Mississippi State University in Starkville with my son, who will be attending MSU in the fall, and my daughter, a high school freshman. After our visit, I decided to stop by your Popeyes for a quick meal on my way back to Pelham, Alabama.
I ate my food in the car, and within 30 minutes, I began to feel extremely unwell. I suffered from severe diarrhea and vomiting, which continued throughout my drive home. What should have been a 2.5-hour drive turned into a 4-hour ordeal, as I was forced to make multiple stops along the way. By the time I reached home, my condition had worsened, and I had to go straight to the emergency room for treatment. I was diagnosed with food poisoning and ended up being off work for the next two days due to my illness. It was an incredibly distressing experience—I honestly felt like I was dying.
I’m writing not just to report the incident but to bring awareness to the potential food safety issues at this particular location. I would appreciate if you could investigate the matter and take the necessary steps to ensure that something like this does not happen again. No one should have to endure such an experience, especially when simply stopping for a meal during a long drive.
I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and address it in a timely manner.

This is my favorite chicken in town, and that is the only thing keeping me coming here. If you eat here you're highly like to encounter some kind of issue. I wouldn't go out of my way to type this if I had 1 or 2 bad days. But out of the past 7 times I've eaten here in the last 2 months it's been issue after issue EVERY TIME.

Don't waste your time at this place. They never have what you order. They only have small sides. If you order a large, you can bet you will wait ten minutes for it. Everyone that works there acts like they are too good to do anything but talk. Worst experience ever. If you want Popeyes chicken go to the next town, service here is the worst I've ever seen.
Went inside. We were 7 in line. Waited. No acknowledgement. Waiting on drive up customers. Finally left. Several behind us left also. Only side they had available was fries.

One star is too high for theft from a customer. My father prepaid for a Cajun turkey on November 14. When he arrived to pick up the turkey but was informed they were sold out. Now they are ignoring him and refusing to give a refund. Now you are stealing from a senior citizen/Methodist minister. How low do you have to be to steal.

We waited for 45 minutes for our food. The manager is taking money out of the register and putting in our purse and we paid $42 for A chicken box that was $25 and a large drink And instead of taking care of the customers out the window, they was coming in and out of the store looking and dreading the customers never going back again

The only reason that I picked 1 star is because zero stars was not an option! This place has the most horrible service that I have ever experienced! And the food was not great either! My parents came to visit us and wanted to try it for the first time, and we couldn’t believe how rude the cashier was! If you want chicken in Columbus MS I would have to suggest KFC.
Okay, so I’m surprised out Popeyes is still open. There are times of the day when they are on it, but for the most part it is just a waste of time and I door dash so I am always warning my people. They close the doors at 8 if not earlier and then that creates a long line that doesn’t move. I usually leave and go some where else or contact my DoorDash and let them know that it would be better for them to change venues. I refuse to lose my good ratings because a restaurant can’t get it together. Always running out of food, a lot of the time the girl at the window isn’t anywhere to be seen, they allow a customer waiting to wait at the window instead of having them move aside and what really irritates me is when I order online and sit in that line to get to the window for them to tell me they don’t have any of the things needed to make my order! What???? You do see my number on that order!! Someone could have called! Now I have to wait to be reimbursed all that mess! They suck!
