June 5th was our third time dining here and I have to say we’ve enjoyed it more on previous visits. We encouraged our group of ten camping friends to choose Proffitt’s for dinner. We’re used to casual but I know some were disappointed. They should consider cleaning up the picnic tables or maybe adding tablecloths… or both. I’m sure I will give them another try though.

In town for a weekend, and Proffitt's Porch was recommended by the Barista at Coffee at 5th Street.
Proffitt's was in the middle of nowhere, but the location is nice. The food was delicious and I couldn't be more pleased. Service was great! The beans and rice, were absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend if in the area!

We have been eating here for over 30 years and it's just as good as the first time we came, only then, we could swim in the lake to the floating dock!
The red beans are simply a must! It's one of the best and most traditional styled red beans and rice dishes you'll find in this area.
I always order the Cam. Named after the son, it's reminiscent of a muffuletta and pairs well with the red beans.
My wife usually gets the chef salad and plenty of Comeback Sauce for dressing. Truly a Southern delicacy, the Comeback Sauce is a must try.
If you've got a hankering for something sweet, you must try the chess pie, baked in-house. Absolutely divine!
