My husband and I went there for our 33rd Anniversary. We got a table about fifteen minutes later, no complaint. The waitress took our order, we sit there and waited over an hour or more to get our food. Everyone who had ordered had eaten and gone. I will NEVER go there again.

First time visit on a Wednesday evening. They were short staffed and had several personal Christmas parties going on but the waiters and waitresses were on top of everything. I ordered the 16 oz large steak and had to bring half of it home with me. It was really good. Overall great 1st time experience.

This place was a hidden gem. We found it doing a Google search for local seafood spots. The food was good and the customer service was on point. They don't have a bar to serve drinks.

As a family, we needed a place to dine with Southern hospitality. And this is where we found it.

i reserved a room for my sister birthday. When we got there there was another party x large group there. The restaurant didn't tell me that was they didn't not tell me another group would be in the same room. People were sitting at our table. it was packed and over crowded. We couldn't enjoy our family/friends from the loud noise coming from the other tables. we should have been warned another group or groups of people was going to be in the same room. The food was great but as far as having a group function never at this place again.

This was the WORST experience I've ever had at Rubens!! The management is garbage and today the steaks were so unseasoned and not good at all!!!! When I say the management made a scene about us being unhappy with our food was so unprofessional! We have spent ALOT of money at Rubens but they WILL NOT see me again!!

This was my first time eating here. I went with a group. I have no major complaints. It was a busy night, so it took us a little longer to be waited on. The food was okay. My fish was cooked a little hard but it had a good taste. I will definitely go again but on a not so busy night.

The food was so so. We ordered some broiled shrimp for appetizer and they were boiled way too long. We shared a catfish, deviled crab and frog legs platter. The frog legs were great and the catfish was good. The crab was not so good. The hush puppies were good on the outside and raw in the middle. So kinda half good. My son had a big steak that he said was ok. Not great but just ok. I may go back but probably not. About the atmosphere well we sat looking at an over hang and the river was a ways from us. Not very scenic.

As Ruben'S, yes the man its named after, grandson, I think that they are really trying to keep that spirit alive. When Ms. Helen died so did the rest of the family history, when Rubens brother former Sherriff Ed Prescott passed that legacy ended.. To the current cooks.. you better learn how to do the original hushpuppy recipe... Cause what youre doing now... Hockey pucks..

It's not the Rueben's it was years ago. The waiter was great but my fish wasn't good. I drove miles. Will not do it again.

Not what they used to be. Portions are small. I had the seafood platter. I didn't know catfish filets came that small. 2 tiny (but delicious) frog legs. A whopping 3 shrimp. Not jumbo shrimp, just regular fried shrimp. My dish was 30$ and I could have eaten 2 of them easily. I could only see 3 people working on a Sunday night and it looked like they were trying to do the work of 6, but understandably were struggling. I know hiring sucks but those guys needed more help desperately
