Upon my second visit, I already knew the routine — the long wait to be greeted or seated — so I grabbed a menu myself and found a spot in the mostly empty restaurant. Fortunately, a young waitress (who I believe may be the owner’s daughter) came by quickly to take my drink order and then returned shortly after for my food order.

Unlike my first visit, the food arrived fairly quickly this time, likely because I was the only customer there. I ordered the Pineapple Hut Curry with Chicken for $16. While the flavor was absolutely top-tier, the portion size was disappointingly small. The vegetables were also noticeably undercooked — I understand that’s somewhat typical for Thai cuisine, but this felt like they were chopped fresh and tossed straight from the cutting board to the plate.

There was just one small pineapple tidbit and one larger chunk, along with what amounted to less than a third of a chicken breast, thinly sliced. For the price, I expected more substance to match the excellent flavor.

The owner herself didn’t seem particularly welcoming, even after I complimented the dish and asked whether the ginger soy sauce was made in-house. It’s unfortunate, because the restaurant is beautiful and has the potential to be incredibly successful with just a few operational adjustments.

If she wants to keep the prices where they are, the portions need to increase — or vice versa. I understand she’s the only cook, but there are ways to streamline things. For instance, she could place menus directly on tables, add a sign encouraging guests to seat themselves, and even offer a QR code–based menu for easy phone ordering that sends tickets straight to the kitchen. That would free her up to focus on cooking and service efficiency.

Ideally, she could also hire a permanent hostess or server to greet guests, bring drinks, and handle questions or special requests. There’s definitely a system that could make things run smoother — it just hasn’t been implemented yet.

I hate to post anything critical, because I genuinely wish the owner the best. I truly believe this place could be amazing once she takes feedback like this constructively.

Hello! This review is very overdue, we went here July 22nd 2024 and I wanted to review then, but kept forgetting. My boyfriend and I were on a roadtrip from New Orleans back to Wisconsin when we stopped on the way. Not only was the experience inside so wholesome, but the food was amazing. We did not expect to have such quality Thai food in the middle of Mississippi especially as this was a spur of the moment stop along the highway. The man who helped us, who I’m pretty sure was the owner was so kind and funny, we talked about our travels and the music he was playing and his family. His granddaughters were helping inside and you could see how much of a family run business it was by the photos of their travels and pictures of children’s art on the wall. It was so cute. I’m not sure now what our orders were but we both got curries, I think one was a red curry and the other was a massaman curry. Either way it was soooo good, he told us we were gonna be thinking about their curry back in Wisconsin and he was right. Whenever we get the chance to drive through Mississippi again we will make sure to make this stop in Como. You gotta try this place!

I drove 33 miles to try Thai food here.

The food was tasty, delicious, and full of flavor. But I think the price is a bit high compared to other Thai restaurants I usually visit in the TN area (Bartlett and Germantown). The prices are the same, but I get more portions or can share for two people.

I wouldn’t have thought of it because I don’t know the food price market around here. So far, the food itself is satisfying.

If you’re looking for authentic Thai food, you have to try it!

The food is delicious and fresh. They have a great beer selection. The service is friendly, but slow. Just go understanding that good things come to those who wait.

I WOULD RATHER RECOMMEND FOOD PICKED OUT OF A CAT’S LITTER-BOX THAN THIS!!!!

The food tasted awful.. small portions for high prices, and under-cooked.

The service was horrible, people who had arrived after us got food first. The owner told us the appetizers would be out in 30 minutes yet it had been at least 2 hours. We were shocked to see how much it cost for how little we ate, and the size of our group.

NEVER DINE HERE AT ALL!

Who would have thought one could find authentic Thai food made by a Bangkok native in North Mississippi?! I drove 14 miles from Batesville based on the reviews. The chicken roll appetizer and mixed vegetables with chicken entree were excellent. The talkative owner kept me company during my solo business trip dinner. The eclectic restaurant and food are worth the drive.

The portion sizes of entrees are too small. Luckily I got one chicken piece in my chicken drunken noodles. Waited almost 30 minutes for someone to take our order. Used to visit the visit the place occasionally driving all the way from memphis. Not anymore.

I have literally been sitting in this restaurant over 2 hours on a to go order. Six or more tables have come in since I have been waiting. They have had appetizers, entrees and dessert and we have got nothing. When we came in we were told it would take 45 minutes, and we were fine with that. After more than 2 hours still no food with a 30 minute drive home. When I ask about the order I was told that after 2 hours they are working on it. We would leave but after being here this long we aren't leaving without dinner.
