Cafe Mikes is a lively sports bar known for its great food, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features tasty pub-style favorites, and the drinks are well-priced. Visiting the area and found Cafe Mike's. As a native Chicagoan, I found the unique sports decor fun and creative. The staff are all fabulous, friendly, welcoming, fun, kind! We ate here twice. The chicken strips, onion rings, burgers and sandwhiches are top notch! Popular with locals.
The cheese steak sandwich was superb! Points were lost on the crinkle fries though; they were left in the oil too long and thus detracted from the overall eating experience quite a bit. The waitress was friendly enough though I wonder if she looked at the food and concluded that she'd be fine if the overcooked fries were set down in front of her. Including tip, I spent $33 for 2 people to eat I've gotten better french fries at Burger King, McDonald's, Sonic, Popeyes,...
