The boathouse fell far short of what was expected. First of all, it is not an ideal spot for a romantic getaway - a mis-sell on the website - as there are pontoons for fishing all around. We were far too self-conscious to, for example, go and sit out with a coffee in the morning in our robes as we felt scrutinised. Not private at any time of the day. The shower head on the bath was broken and sprayed wildly. That can't have been missed by the cleaners. The blurb stated fine toiletries - there was a Carex anti-bac handsoap bottle in the bathroom. Neither television worked reliably. Clouds of dust came off the blinds whenever we touched them. Outside, it was shabby and in need of an update. I fed all of this back on departure, and sent two emails in which I stated I would await a response before writing a review - all to no response by Forbes of Kingennie. This just isn't good enough folks. Don't go.

Grilled chicken pesto wrap was absolutely delicious! Fresh made potato chips! Sat on the deck in the sunshine. Nice variety of beer. Definitely will be back.

Went tonight for supper it was very good. The service was amazing. The waitress and hostess was very friendly. The atmosphere inside is beautiful. The new owners did an amazing job with the place. Will definitely be back.
