Great small town restaurant! From the salad bar, to steaks, fish or chicken, every thing we have tried has been amazing. The staff are always friendly and are constantly checking in on you to keep your drinks full and making sure you don't need anything else. Im told the desserts are great, although I'm usually to stuffed to try them.

This is probably my favorite steakhouse spot in the greater North MS region, for what it is: an affordable place to get good ol' fashioned food like I remember of the yonder years, with a salad bar (with bacon bits!) as I remember from my growing up years--hard to find around anymore. My NY steak was well-prepared and tasted/textured as good as the best one's I've had at fancy places in Oxford/Memphis and beyond. Service is lovely and kind, and atmosphere is really casual and a throw back to the past IMHO--perhaps not the preference for everyone, but I do like a walk down nostalgia-lane every now and then and it's a breath of fresh air from all the fancy fine dining establishments where one would need to go to get a proper steak. Neighboring stores (like the grocery store) are worth stopping into to check out too, if one is on the waiting list to get in.

Tonight was our First Time to Dine at Nate’s. Between the three of us our Entree’s were
Viking Chicken, Ribeye and Sirloin, with large perfectly baked beautiful delicious sweet potatoes and salads. VERY DELICIOUS!! Great Salad Bar! The Service was Awesome!! We will be back for sure from Bruce, MS.

I cannot share what the food or atmosphere might've been. Why? Because after driving over 30 minutes to get to this place on a Saturday night, they decided to close an hour before their scheduled closing time. Their loss. I'll never take the chance they would not do the same thing again.

This place is great, especially where it’s located. There’s not enough steakhouses around this area, and the quality of the food and service was outstanding.
The salad bar was fantastic with plenty of options offered, and you can go up unlimited times from my understanding.
My only complaint was the atmosphere. The big open room that you enter when you first walk in doesn’t offer a lot of privacy for families dining. Also, where we were situated, we were right beside a walkway that saw a lot of traffic to and from another room. However, the owner of the restaurant was in fact walking around and making conversation with every table, so that was cool to see.

I'll start by saying that they did eventually say they were having an off night with the kitchen staff, so I might try them again, but my first experience here wasn't good. Arrived at 7 and had to wait 30 min to be seated, but that's pretty normal for a busy restaurant, and they were busy. Ordered a steak with fries and Mac n cheese. My other ordered the catfish fillets with okra and a baked sweet potato. Food didn't arrive until 8:40 they close at 9. Not only was it kind of lackluster, but it was also missing items. "Sorry we ran out of sweet potatoes" " sorry we forgot to cook your okra" "sorry we forgot your Mac n cheese". After all the hype it was pretty disappointing to sit through honestly, and im leaving plenty out simply cuz i dont want to seem like im bashing the place. If everything had gone like it should have, then for the price, it would've gotten at least 4 stars, but as it stands I'll definitely hesitate when someone brings up goin back and I hate that.

We've eaten here a few times and it's always good. Sometimes the temps on the steaks are off. Recently, my daughter and I order the same steak, and both were supposed to be medium rare. Hers was rare. Mine was MW. I don't order their filet mignon anymore? but I love the salad bar!! The blackened catfish is yummy and so are few other menu items. The hushpuppies are bomb! The have a spinach chicken dish that I wanna try next time we go.

The salad bar was well stocked with a wide variety of fresh items. The fish was hot and crispy. The chicken tenders are really big and juicy. The shrimp was cooked just right. My girls enjoyed the mac-n-cheese and the sweet potato fries. The owner and staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Nate’s.
