My personal favorite - El Gato Supremo from the Santander District in Colombia (I also travel there routinely, so it has sort of sentimental value to me as well). Medium roast a little past first crack and you've got coffee that'll blow Starbucks clean out of the water. One of these days I'll have to travel to Jackson to visit this shrine to all things caffeinated.

The folks there took the time to give me a tour of the facility and tell me everything I could possibly want to know (and more) about CBC. If I could give 10 stars I would. This was my first order of green beans through Coffee Bean Corral and I was absolutely blown away by the level of care and customer service I experienced. I placed an order for 30lbs of various Ethiopian beans as I am trying to stock up. First off, their overall selection compared to cost is the best I have found. I have ordered through various companies over my 5+ years of roasting and this has been my best experience thus far. I placed my order and saw there was a delay in shipping. I emailed them and got a very rapid response from Katie. She informed me one of the varietals I had ordered was back ordered and gave me some options, including offering to ship the beans they had on hand at the time and then ship the rest of the order when those beans arrived, which was only a couple days out. We had some back and forth email traffic and what transpired was Katie altering my order based off them getting multiple beans back in stock that I had been wanting but was unable to purchase at the time I put my order in due to being out of stock. They could have easily told me no but she worked with me to get the exact order I had originally desired, and at no change in price to my original order. Then, on top of that, my veteran status had come up in conversation. She backdated a military discount to my order which I received as a credit to my bank account. This level of kindness, care, and customer service is rare in today’s nameless and faceless e-commerce market. I felt like I was getting face to face human interaction even through email and phone calls. The beans arrived today, they are the highest of quality and were perfectly shipped. Coffee Bean Corral now has a customer for life out of me and I could not recommend another green bean supplier more. I am also a very small time roaster, roasting maybe 10lbs a month for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. We had been driving by the Coffee Bean Corral for months and always wondered what this place was all about. Well, on a sunny and cool fall day, my wife and I decided to pull into the parking lot. We were greeted at the door by a friendly worker and much to our surprise, the owner came stomping down the stairs and told us more than we had ever known about coffee beans and all the different countries of origin. These beans are "green" (raw and unroasted) and waiting patiently in big heavy mesh bags for the roasting process. The aroma in their warehouse was too tempting and we had to try a sampler pack of La Minita, which was grown in Costa Rica in the volcanic region of Tarrazu. The owner roasted the beans for us and suggested we wait a few days before grinding and brewing. That was the longest few days, but it was worth the wait. We use the manual drip method of brewing, and our home had the same aroma as their warehouse. The coffee was delicious, and we're hooked, as nothing off the grocery store's shelves comes close to this experience of starting with green beans, roasting, grinding, and brewing. My wife wanted to get a roaster for Christmas, but I talked her out of it -- at least for now. The hardest part will be choosing which beans to try next, as the choices are from all over the world. If you're a coffee lover and get a chance to drop by the Coffee Bean Corral, I'm sure your experience will be satisfying, and your taste buds will thank you.

There was a minor problem in my last order, one of the bags was decaf. I sent an email to customer service because I didn't have time for a phone call.
Within an hour the correct beans were on their way. Within 2 hours there was a FedEx tracking number. Thank you Kathy for the prompt action.
