Sacred Ground is the best BBQ in the Jackson area. The brisket is exceptional!! They can be prone to run out on a busy night so getting there earlier is better. Incredibly kid friendly outdoor area is great.
I have enjoyed every dish I have tried. The Brussels from the app menu are an unsung hero. The beans are my favorite side item here — they’re not just beans in BBQ sauce. They speak for themselves.

Saturday lunch with the family was phenomenal. The Kung Pao Pork Belly Burnt Ends are the best app I’ve had this year by far. The double smoked jalapeños takes jalapeño poppers to the next level, plus they are huge. The ribs are clean bite comp style; very well done. Brisket was awesome as were the brisket pinto beans and green chili mac n cheese. The setup is very family friendly, service is great, & the bbq is top notch. 100% worth the ride to Pocahontas.

This place is a bit off the beaten path, but let me tell you, you won't be disappointed! The brisket here is absolutely incredible - the best I've ever had. And the ribs and pulled pork? Delicious, especially with their Carolina white sauce, mustard sauce, and spicy barbecue sauce. Trust me, you've got to check this place out - it's the best in Mississippi!

We tried the brisket, pineapple jalapeño sausage, turkey, nachos and Brussels sprouts. Everything was fantastic but that brisket was melt in your mouth good!! We will be back!! 10000/10

Brisket was a salt lick. Spent $70 on two people. Crazy. Far from the best in Mississippi. They serve fries from a frozen bag here! What!? Ketchup on the fries was the highlight of this meal. Atmosphere was cool but idk how the hell they got featured in a Michelin Guide based on my experience today. Employees didn’t seem to care too much about how I enjoyed my meal either. Would not return.

We made a spur of the moment trip to Jackson today to go to Grills of Mississippi and the guy in there told us to go here. IT. WAS. AMAZING. So worth the trip. I’m not a BBQ lover by any means but this was SO good. Make the drive.

The tri tips was lukewarm, the coleslaw was flavorless, and the bread was half a piece of Bunny bread. Yuck! And expensive too! We won't go back again.
