Despite the location, this place has some amazing food. My group says that the Carolina sauce makes you sweat, which shows how much time they put into it, and the brisket there is AMAZING, so much juicy flavor, and they have amazing mac and cheese. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend you check it out. You’ll leave satisfied.

Everything we had today was delicious. The brisket, the pork, ribs, etc. We had a little of just about everything (the brussel sprouts are a sleeper, get them). I really like how they offer a variety of sauces, Memphis style, Carolina style, and Alabama white were available.
I look forward to going back in the spring on a nice warm evening and hanging out in the outdoor area. This is the exact kind of place we need around here and hope things continue to do well!

I’ve been to a few of the best bbq spots in Texas, and, if Sacred Ground is this good on their second full week, it won’t be long before they could hold their own with the best of the best. The meat was flavorful, and the sides were diverse and memorable. The atmosphere is incredible! Inside and outside seating with lots of TVs for watching games, and actual games (ping pong, cornhole, etc.) to play with family and friends. As with any new spot, there are kinks to workout, but the staff (including the chef) was curious about our experience and went above and beyond to respond to some small issues we had. This place needs all the support it can get because we need a place like this in our area. I will be back many, many, many times! Top recommendations are the Kung Pao pork belly burnt ends, the brisket, turkey, and banana pudding.

Everything we tried was delicious—brisket, pulled pork, ribs, fries, and mac and cheese. The barbecue sauce is different than other places we have around here, but it has great flavor and compliments the food well. I’m normally not a big fan of pulled pork, but theirs was delicious. Brisket is done right, and the sides are really good. Next time I’m hoping to try the nachos—they looked amazing!
The atmosphere is really fun and much nicer and more fun than most places we have in the Jackson area. So many of our good barbecue restaurants are holes in the wall type. Sacred Ground is not like that; it’s the perfect place for a gathering with friends, to watch a game, or eat while kids play. I loved the seating arrangements of both indoor and outdoor dining areas. We went right at opening, so people hadn’t gotten seated yet. I anticipate this place will have a wait once word really gets out. We will be back!

My wife really wanted to eat here because of the 5 star rating and we love BBQ. We got there at 11:20 am and boy were they busy so we thought that must be a good sign. I got the brisket sandwich melt and it was dry with little flavor and was underwhelming. The wife got frito pie. She said it was cold and had no flavor. The service was good and the staff was nice. But we will not be back.

Absolutely thrilled that Sacred Ground is finally open! We had the opportunity to stop in and grab some food, they certainly did not disappoint!
The food was PHENOMENAL!! We cannot wait to make this a regular thing.
I can’t stress enough how great the atmosphere is to just.. hangout! It’s exactly what the Jackson Metro area needs.
There is so much space for kids to play in a fenced in area, a slide for kids, TVs outside to catch sports games on and so much more.
The space outside is designed in a way that MULTIPLE large groups could hangout and not be crowded in the slightest!
So pumped about this!!!
