One of the few places in the area that feels like old friends, good times and great drinks.

I love this place. The cocktails are DELICIOUS, the food is great and not the typical bar fare (thank you for some gluten free options!!!), and the atmosphere is relaxing. The service is friendly and delightful. Go.

This is a craft cocktail bar, with some food. Do know that the kitchen closes at 9. Reservations are highly recommended as it can get busy. Drinks are superb, among the best in the metro area.

This place is so great. It's small and intimate, decorated in a very sophisticated manner, fun (live music!), and they have tasty drinks & charcuterie boards. Staff and bartenders are super friendly. Highly recommend for an evening out!

It’s easy enough to review the places you encounter on your day-to-day journey. It’s entirely another story to review a place that you stumble upon. The Briar Patch is that kind of gem. It all started with my husband‘s miscalendar of his haircut appointment. It left us scrambling for another place on a Friday at 5 PM. He was happily ensconced in a chair at the Noble Barber as I meandered next door to the briar patch. My sole goal was to find a single cocktail to pass the humid afternoon of the south. What I found was the “sparkling flight” of champagne-based cocktails. It, of course, included the ever-faithful French 75.Trust me; this is your go-to selection. The husband had his Crown and Water and was pleased with the cocktail's strength. The mixologists know what they are doing here. Unfortunately, the food was a mixed bag. Now this is a tapas restaurant so of course, I already love the portions. We started with a small size cheese and meat charcuterie board. Honestly, it was OK. We followed this up with the barbecue charcuterie board. Please take my advice, and avoid this one altogether. The brisket was scant and covered by way too much sauce, which wasn’t that great of a sauce. And to top things off, they added a side portion of said sauce. Now I will tell you that the hidden gem of the barbecue charcuterie board is the potato salad. It is a potato salad commonly available in other restaurants, but they add a delicious topping of dill, which makes you forget your promise to forgo eating potatoes altogether. The next step was the salmon flatbread. The secret ingredient of this is the whipped feta. If you don’t know what feta is, Google it. It will change your life. Whether you think you like salmon and feta or not, give it a try. I made a mistake by topping my meal off with a peach Bellini. Very few places make a great peach Bellini, and unfortunately, this is not one of them. I guess this reinforces the adage, “Stop while you’re ahead.“ All of that said, the atmosphere was amazing. It is such a quaint little place. You do, of course, have to make transportation arrangements if you plan to enjoy too many sparkling flights or any of the other great cocktails, but it’s worth it. I highly recommend the Briar Patch. Our waitress was Chloe, and we had an extra special atmosphere with Big Mike.Great for date night.

This is the best cocktail bar I have ever been to. Their campfire Old Fashioned is phenomenal and the Guion Gin is very pleasant. The service is truly remarkable as well. The only thing you need to make sure you do is call ahead to make a reservation- even a couple of days ahead. They're only open 18 hours a week and everyone's dying to get in. If you haven't made a reservation- get there early or bring your drink to the nice picnic tables outside. This place is worth it!

We recently moved to the area from out of state and we are so glad we found this place. We we're so pleasantly shocked when we walked in and they knew not only what a Spanish Coffee was but also what a Vieux Carré was. Their mix master made them both perfectly. Their charcutier boards were also a warm welcome for a couple still going through a bit of culture shock to have found a restaurant with a true understand of fine food culture.
