Today was our first time experiencing Martin's Livingston to celebrate 🥳 my mom's long time friend's birthday 🎂 and everything was amazing. Thank you for making our Sunday afternoon a memorable one. Hope to see you again soon.

Was really looking forward to trying Martin’s after hearing great things. Unfortunately our experience was less than ideal, and we didn’t even get to try the food. Initially our server was attentive but disappeared after bringing our drinks and telling him we needed a couple of minutes to look at the menu. He came out several times to wait on other tables, and we tried to catch his attention, but he never looked our way. It was like he forgot about us. After 30 minutes, we decided to cut our losses and close out at the bar. The bartender’s response was disappointing. No explanation, no apology, no offer to comp our drinks. So we paid and left. For context, there were only two of us, he didn’t mention being swamped or particularly busy, and other servers on the patio appeared attentive to their tables.

Jay was the best waiter! Our food came out in a timely manner even though we had a party of 25! Very impressed! Also Kaleb was the sweetest!

Great spot for lunch. Wide variety of food with daily specials. Fast friendly staff. Located in a nice spot to walk around after dining.

Wes and I try to visit Martin’s in Livingston once a month or so. Today we had to work in the afternoon and didn’t feel like cooking. We had a few cold beers with friends and a few appetizers. We tried the bbq Pork Skins with queso and the Ultimate hush puppies. The Pork Skins were fantastic. I really liked them. The hush puppies were really hard and dry; hard to chew but Dalton, the bartender, gladly brought us another order. The Pork Skins were still better. We brought home a Club Sandwich, the Cordon Blue sandwich, and the Philly Steak and Cheese. Good food, good service, cold beers, and good times. We’ll be back.

I ordered a $30 6oz filet well done, but it was actually so burnt around the edges it was too hard to eat. It also did not look like what a filet cut usually looks like. It was very thin. When I asked for it to be redone, the manager came out and was very rude. He said that’s the way it is going to look cooked that way and I should just order something else. I’ve never had a manager be so rude or indignant. He didn’t seem to care or want to help at all. He did take it off the ticket but did not apologize in anyway. Will not go to eat there again.

I ordered a 6oz 30$ fillet steak well done and it came out to me burnt. When I asked the manager if he could remake it not burnt and well done instead, he said he couldn’t and that is how it is cooked. The steak was very thin as well. The manager was very rude!! I will not be going back here!! He told me to order something else because it can only be burnt.

I love the location and I live nearby and was so excited to have Martin's at Livingston. However....the food has been very subpar all five times I have been. The very first time, I ordered the chicken wings, they were cold on the inside. I could get past that. The mardi gras pasta was pretty oily on the bottom when my husband ordered it. The burger meat was dry and way overdone when I ordered that. Last night we tried again. The philly cheese steak sandwich came out soggy on one entire side and we sent it back only to get a super hot sandwich that was microwaved. The gravy on the mashed potatoes are from a packet. I want to love eating here but the food is just not up good. I will have to stick to just going for a drink at the bar and skip the menu. I wish there was an awesome dish to eat or they had a trained up chef who knew what they were doing. Maybe the blue plates are good? Don't know yet. We may try one day. Just so disappointed that we paid $90 for four people to eat here. Somebody please help Martin's food get better!
