Great spot for lunch. Wide variety of food with daily specials. Fast friendly staff. Located in a nice spot to walk around after dining.

Wes and I try to visit Martin’s in Livingston once a month or so. Today we had to work in the afternoon and didn’t feel like cooking. We had a few cold beers with friends and a few appetizers. We tried the bbq Pork Skins with queso and the Ultimate hush puppies. The Pork Skins were fantastic. I really liked them. The hush puppies were really hard and dry; hard to chew but Dalton, the bartender, gladly brought us another order. The Pork Skins were still better. We brought home a Club Sandwich, the Cordon Blue sandwich, and the Philly Steak and Cheese. Good food, good service, cold beers, and good times. We’ll be back.

I ordered a $30 6oz filet well done, but it was actually so burnt around the edges it was too hard to eat. It also did not look like what a filet cut usually looks like. It was very thin. When I asked for it to be redone, the manager came out and was very rude. He said that’s the way it is going to look cooked that way and I should just order something else. I’ve never had a manager be so rude or indignant. He didn’t seem to care or want to help at all. He did take it off the ticket but did not apologize in anyway. Will not go to eat there again.

I ordered a 6oz 30$ fillet steak well done and it came out to me burnt. When I asked the manager if he could remake it not burnt and well done instead, he said he couldn’t and that is how it is cooked. The steak was very thin as well. The manager was very rude!! I will not be going back here!! He told me to order something else because it can only be burnt.

I love the location and I live nearby and was so excited to have Martin's at Livingston. However....the food has been very subpar all five times I have been. The very first time, I ordered the chicken wings, they were cold on the inside. I could get past that. The mardi gras pasta was pretty oily on the bottom when my husband ordered it. The burger meat was dry and way overdone when I ordered that. Last night we tried again. The philly cheese steak sandwich came out soggy on one entire side and we sent it back only to get a super hot sandwich that was microwaved. The gravy on the mashed potatoes are from a packet. I want to love eating here but the food is just not up good. I will have to stick to just going for a drink at the bar and skip the menu. I wish there was an awesome dish to eat or they had a trained up chef who knew what they were doing. Maybe the blue plates are good? Don't know yet. We may try one day. Just so disappointed that we paid $90 for four people to eat here. Somebody please help Martin's food get better!

My wife and I went to try it out and have some late lunch on a Sunday Holiday. The food was pretty good, the food runners (two guys) were awesome as they brought our food out pretty quickly. The server (younger girl) was not attentive to her tables at all. Even if the only tables she had was us and the empty one on the porch she was hanging out at. Really the only thing she did was take out order and get our drinks. Every time else, needing a condiment that was suppose to come with the poyboy, putting an extra to go order in and then finally the check, we had to either flag her down or get a food runner to go get her from the hang out table on the porch. Will definitely be back but lesson learned not to get her as a server.

Went for lunch! For a blue plate special it was one of the best meals I ever had at a Mississippi restaurant. Well above average. The greens were seasoned perfectly. They must use smoked ham hocks or pickled pork. The fried shrimp were perfectly battered too with corn meal and flour.

This place was gross, sodas were flat, food was bland my hamburger wasn't cooked all the way I would be surprised if I didn't get food poisoning. The waitress took forever to get our order even though we were the only people there. Don't recommend this place won't be back

The manager was very accommodating and the service was great! I requested an area for an intimate retirement lunch. I had to change the date to the next day because of inclement weather. Although there was an event happening that afternoon the manager was able to squeeze us in before the event and everything worked out perfectly! There were 29 of us so I expected to wait a while to get our orders but to my pleasant surprise the food came out quickly. The server and service were top tier! I HIGHLY recommend!
