These place was great, We were very happy with our meals! The pork chop with a sweet sauce on a bed of cheese grits was ???. Can’t wait to go back and try some other things!

My wife and I celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary. Everything was great! We had a great time, food was delicious, we were able to have a conversation without yelling over others and the atmosphere was really nice.

Our server was very personable but poorly trained We experienced a problem ... found a plastic lid in my salad as I was eating it. He brought a new salad but did not apologize. When we arrived for dinner we stood inside the front door several minutes while the hostess never acknowledged us. A Customer pointed us out to her. Also the restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived

The atmosphere was pleasant with a band for Friday night. The fried crab claws were breaded like you would bread fish and were ok. Ordered a cup of gumbo, they inform me they were out of rice and they could substitute some other type of rice. When the gumbo came out to me, it was cold. It sent it away. We ordered 8oz filets, one medium and one medium rare. They were both over cooked due to the filet being butterflied or cut thin. They were well and medium well for temperature cooked. Either the food sat awaiting to be served or they served it on a cold plate, or both. The dinner was not good and mildly warm at best. My mashed potatoes were loose and cold on the plate before I could finish half of the meal. I’ve had deer hamburger steak made at home with better flavor than their filet. It seemed like they cooked the steak wet and it was steamed with very little seasoning. This is our third attempt there and the first two were about the same for the food, below average to average at best. $75 per person

This was my 3rd annual family (9 people) holiday dinner party. Service was fine but only 1 server. The shrimp/scallop scampi entree portion was Extremely small, one Butcher cut steak ($52) was 40% fat and another Butcher cut steak at least 60% fat. Rather than upset the family gathering, I called the restaurant manager the following day and provided my comments. While the manager was somewhat sympathetic I believe paying over $500 for this event should have warranted more than that. I doubt I'll hold another event here—they need to address their kitchen issues immediately. I have been an Open Table member for many years and this was my only bad food experience.

I've been coming to the gathering since it's opening, I can't remember when that was but it's been a few years now. I no longer live in the area but it's almost become a tradition for my family to eat here when I am in town. I'm sad to say over the past year or so, our experience here has gotten worse each time. They seem to have a very young wait staff which is not an issue if properly trained, the food has gotten worse, mainly the fried chicken which is literally the only thing I've ever ordered there. It's gone from very juicy and tender to very dry. Today for example my father was brought an almost completely black piece of cornbread with his meal and when he asked if he could have another, the blonde headed girl who brought our food, who couldn't be a day over 17, said "if we have anymore" and walked away. Shortly after another food runner brought out another dish, and when my dad asked this young man, probably 16, he said absolutely, and got us a fresh one right away. I say this to point back at my earlier comment, a young wait staff is not an issue if properly trained. Sad to say this is probably our last time eating here but would be willing to give it another shot in the future.

I eat blue plate lunches almost every day and this one definitely hit the top of the list on quality and service. If you get a chance, try the black eyed peas and fried pork chops. Top notch!

We had brunch here a few days ago and although the food was incredible the service and ambiance could have been better. This was our first time here and there was no direction on how to sit or where to order until a lady walked up to us after about 5 minutes of standing there and led us to the counter to order. During and after ordering if was very clear that none of the wait staff had much knowledge about what was going on that morning and there seemed to be a communication barrier because the wait staff and the kitchen staff. The food was wonderful, but perhaps some more structure on the service side would do the restaurant some good.

We had looked at the dinner menu online prior to our arrival and each of us had made an initial decision about our selection. The two for $30 menu really made us second guess our choices. We ended up ordering from the 2/$30 menu and we were disappointed. We should have stuck with our original selections. The bolognese was much too spicy for me. The menu mentioned beef bolognese but I think it was more like a spicy sausage. There was confusion about the Hwy 486 and Hwy 22 hamburgers. We will certainly come again and will be better prepared and informed about selections. The staff was very nice.

We went on Tuesday night and walked right in to be seated. We were greeted immediately and placed orders for drinks and appetizers. Our server Logan was very attentive throughout the meal. The pimento and andouille sausage dip was phenomenal! The fried crab claws were also very tasty. I ordered one of the specials, redfish with a crab cake, mashed potatoes and green beans. My husband ordered the Cajun pasta. Both were extremely good. Our friends ordered the filet and both of them raved over the tenderness and flavor. The atmosphere was perfect, the meal was delicious, the service was attentive and the cocktails were strong. 10/10 recommend!

This was our first time dining at the gathering. The service was terrible. They acted as if they didn’t want our business. We ordered the shrimp platter and the ribeye. The platter was ok . The steak was terrible definitely not worth the price or the drive over there. We had a good server who realized we were having a bad experience and went out of his way to accommodate. That was probably the only good thing from the visit.

Steak house prices for sub par food and service. We were there for 2 hours with a party of 10 and not a single drink refill that I can recall. Had to repeatedly ask multiple servers for high chairs until my husband finally went searching and found some himself. Some meals were okay others weren't prepared right or didn't taste good at all. Overall the experience was a let down.

Great experience. Food was great and the drinks were good as well . Bartender went out his way to make a drink . They ran out of grenadine . And got some from a local bar near . I loved it . Btw it was homemade grenadine . You have to try it

We had four takeout orders. Two catfish with fries and two chicken sandwiches with fries. The seasoning could be better and the food wasn't very warm. It's very pretty in the area but not very welcoming. My family will most likely not return.
