I live in Florida but I have family that live here. I got the fried catfish poboy and the fried green tomatoes. Wonderful breading on it all, the catfish was tasty and the fries seasoned well. Some of the best fried green tomatoes I've had in years, I recommend this place. Will come back when I am back in town for the holidays.

I came in last Thursday with my three boys and my husband. There were only two tables, us and one other family of 3. It took almost an hour to get our food but our waitress was great. Our kids was getting ancy waiting for our food so our waitress kept them entertained, gave them some Hershey kisses, told stories and made them laugh and she was so wonderful. I saw her helping the other family besides us with their crying toddler helping them get situated and even offered toher head band tiara to the young girl at the table beside us after she complemented it. Food was amazing after we finally got it. My special needs son asked to go back to see her this morning. We definitely will but with a to-go order this time

My wife and I happened to stumble across a local, family-owned NOLA-style restaurant in Florence for a late lunch. The ambiance instantly transported us to Louisiana with its LA-inspired decor, but at the same time, you feel at home as you hear the soft worship music setting the atmosphere and comfortable seats that further entice you to stay awhile.
We were immediately welcomed by the staff, who greeted us with a sample of their chicken and sausage gumbo. My wife, who was born in LA, can confirm this was authentic gumbo cooked to perfection, as was all the food in this family establishment. The chef was born in New Orleans and carries every bit of that with her.
My wife and I both ordered the fish platter that blew both of us away. Louisiana flavor was in and throughout the fish and crispy breading. She also had a bowl of the chicken and seafood gumbo that was perfect. I also had the red beans and rice, which was authentically smooth, bold, flavorful, and creamy.
We both finished our meal with an order of the bourbon-infused peach cobbler egg rolls: the best dessert egg rolls I ever tried. Amazing filling that does not fall apart when you bite into it.
Most importantly, the owners' kindness, hospitality, and overall love for people could be seen in every dish, which is a rare compliment for most restaurants. We left with our stomachs full and our hearts happy. And so did their entire lunch crowd. Please treat yourself and try this restaurant.

My experience at this restaurant was magnificent!! As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted with a smile and compliment that left me smiling!! The atmosphere was pleasant and made me feel right at home.
On to the food…AMAZING!! Everything I tasted was delicious. From the red beans and rice to the chili cheese fries, and everything else in between (shrimp only, sweet potato chicken, bourbon infused peach eggrolls) and the start of the show: the bread pudding, I wanted for NOTHING!
The service was wonderful, the tea was sweet, and the water was cold! I can’t wait to go back and try more items! I will definitely be a regular!
What are you waiting for?! Go check this jewel of a restaurant out!!

As soon as I walked through the door I felt like a family member! The seating was lovely, A/C blowing nicely, and just a New Orleans feel!
Service was hands down some of the best I’ve ever had.
Did I forget to mention they have great water!
My waitress made sure I wasn’t thirsty one bit!
The food left me speechless! Food was so delicious and flavorful that I had to hug the chef!

My husband, myself and some friends ate at Nola’s last night and the food was so good. I was conservative and went for the shrimp po-boy, and of course, it was delicious. My husband got a seafood platter and our friends tried a new dish, sweet potatoes and chicken and I tasted it and it was phenomenal. Also, the staff were super nice. If you haven’t been yet, please go eat local and try them out, you won’t regret it.

My parents loved this place! They ordered the bourbon hamburger along with a fishplate. The burger is so flavorful and good. The fish was great too. They also got the Cajun chicken bites which were so tender and flavorful! For desert Bourbon infused peach cobbler egg roll! Delicious will be coming back!!

My co-worker stopped by to pick us up some food, I can’t speak on the service or the atmosphere due to not yet being able to go myself, but the food was amazing. I haven’t had gumbo this good outside of Louisiana. It is defiantly a must try. I got the seafood gumbo and the egg rolls and both were delicious. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.
