I went to Gigis for the first time today and sadly didn’t get to try anything. I was ordering and about to pay while a friend of mine was inquiring about the prices of the six pack and one of the workers jumped in the conversation trying to correct her coworker. Resulting in confusion with all of us. Then she rudely threw the box that had my cupcakes on the counter.

The employee, Maggie, didn't speak or say anything to us upon entering. She was getting up from tables as we walked in. I told her my 1st selection, then asked a question about the cheesecakes. She looked super annoyed and answered sharply. Didn't thank us or anything. Just not the service you expect in an establishment this pricey.

Went and bought 4 cupcakes and this being the 1st visit. The topping was thick and equivalent to sugar bomb and the stuffed portion was neither stuffed, but an easer size from a number 2 pencil. I’m all about supporting small shops, but my kids and I were extremely disappointed. The only thing good was the chocolate cake portion. That’s all. Please consider making a change for another review!

I went to GiGi’s last night and I must say the service was not great. The cupcakes were delicious!! There was a sign that said a discount if you get a 6 pack of cupcakes, I asked the cashier about she just looked at me. I dismissed the look and continued to tell her what I would like. Once again I asked about the discount since I got the 6 pack, needless to say I was still charged the full price. I love going to this place but her attitude was horrible.

Got banana pudding cupcake & strawberry. I asked if they were fresh. Both cakes were dry. And way more sweet frosting than cake. These cakes are not moist at all.

The cupcakes are wonderful. The environment that the staff exudes is less than stellar.
1. It’s a long wait while workers come from the back and actually attend to you. 2. You aren’t greeted with a hello - just a stare! 3. There is not an ounce of courtesy throughout the transaction or even in the end - a simple thank you come again. That would be very welcomed. 4. A manager or some form of leadership might actually be neeeded due to the fact I have come on numerous occasions and one isn’t EVER present.
I have experience these same qualities with 2 different female employees and it has completely turned me off from the establishment.
Smallcakes in Gluckstadt has a great product but an addition an even better environment - I recommend anyone to check them out instead of frequenting here!

I don’t see what all of the fuss is about truly ?I could live here eat these cupcakes forever OMG!!! ??? l only said that 1st part to be greedy I left with 6 because I couldn’t explain 12 to my Boo who loves them too. This was an excellent find. The customer service was impeccable and my experience was amazing. I can’t wait to stop back through on business
