It’s not as good as it once was.

Golden china obviously under new ownership! I ordered a take out dinner. Food was totally disgusting!!! Hot and sour soup was almost black tasted STRANGE— ate 2 spoon fulls and stopped. Egg rolls were raw and oozed a strange liquid, ordered 3 and, got 2 ( just as Wei). Sweet and sour chicken was very small pieces of chicken with considerable breading. Ordered extra sweet and sauce— received a small container that was 1/3full! and only sweet! I WILL NOT RETURN ! Cost me $27.89 certainly a total ripoff

This place has clearly changed hands, and unfortunately, not for the better. When we arrived, the staff was still setting up the buffet a full 20 minutes after opening — a bad start. The food was extremely disappointing — poorly prepared and far from fresh. This used to be a solid Chinese buffet with lunch pricing around $7, but now it’s $28 for two people, and the quality just doesn’t match the price. To make matters worse, the service was inattentive and unprofessional. Sadly, it seems like finding a decent restaurant in Flowood is getting harder. I won’t be returning.

First time there and won’t be going back. Lo mein noodles, really. Where were the noodles? General chow chicken… wow it was terrible.

My favorite Chinese spot in Ridgeland by far.

I accidentally found this restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat. I had a taste for Chinese food and I saw the restaurant on the web. I was just a few miles away so I tried it out and man what a surprise I got. The food was great and the young lady at the service desk was very polite. I didn't feel as if I was being watched while I ate my food. The atmosphere there was right on point and even the customers were very friendly. Golden China is a great place to eat and enjoy yourself while doing so. I recommend you go and see for yourself.

Golden China is my favorite kind of restaurant in that it is solidly secure in its identity, utterly unpretentious, and unerringly consistent. If you are a first timer, I recommend the lunch buffet, which has featured the exact same, well-balanced dishes for the entire eight years we have lived here. Stars for me include the hot and sour soup (honestly the best I've had anywhere, something I immediately crave anytime I am sick), veggie-filled garlic chicken, lo mein, egg rolls, slightly spicy general General Tso's, and the famous melt-in-your-mouth glazed doughnuts. Many of the meat dishes are veggie-heavy, which is thrilling to me: thick slices of green peppers and cabbage and fresh zucchini and broccoli all day. (Note: the lunch buffet has raised prices since we first came, but honestly they were too low before! The quality of the food is well worth the 11 dollars and change for the buffet.) To top it off, the owners of the family-run establishment are kind and welcoming. My (picky eater) daughter says if she were to pick a number between one to ten to rate this place, she'd say "ONE MILLION!" High praise indeed, Golden China.

All the food has this strange twang to it. Not terrible but I’ve had much better. Just not what I’m use to as far as Chinese food. Price was decent.

Food was amazing! I placed a pick up order and I was very surprised by the amount of food I got for my money and the quality was amazing. Best Chinese food I've had for a long time. Everything had its own distinct flavor and the meal as a whole went together really well and was very satisfying. My favorite was the chicken wings and the little wonton crisps, but it was all very tasty! Amazing food for amazing prices, try this place and you won't regret it! :)

Small buffet, but every item is tasty. Clean atmosphere and very pleasant staff.

I thought I was given the wrong g item. I ordered mandarin chicken. I received chicken covered in brown gravy topped with almonds. I called to see about returning it and getting the correct item. They told me that what I received is their mandarin chicken....

Good food still have to wait outside for them to bring your food
