It’s perfectly clear they no longer have a professional baker like they did years ago. The carrot cake we ordered for Christmas is lopsided, the height of a pie, and looks like a toddler made it. We went ahead and cut it to eat since it definitely wasn’t worth saving for Christmas due to the appearance of it. And the taste is off. Not sure exactly what the issue is, but definitely not good. There is no indication of raisins, nuts, or even carrots in the cake part. No crunch or substance at all, just smooth textured cake. There is no cream cheese or vanilla flavoring taste to the frosting. It’s extremely odd. And now lots of digestive rumbling and churning after eating it. Should’ve known when there were other customers complaining and one of the dessert area workers had an awful attitude when we picked the cake up. I definitely wouldn’t recommend spending their asking price for the buffet since they can’t even make a decent cake. You can tell a lot of the reviews here are fake because people don’t gush and word reviews like that when they’re real. The reviews that desperately need a manager’s attention all got the same empty repeated reply. #1 sign of a bad manager that just doesn’t care.

Ran out of rolls and fried chicken. Had to wait a bit for them.
Had not been to Golden Corral in flowood for years but even though there was food at home I wanted to go out this thanksgiving and they were open. The food was good. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was not bad. If you go ask for Ms. Willa she is very humorous and happy and a great server. They were very full and the selection food wise was still great. We were there nearing the last two hours they were open and they seemed to be very slow on restocking the dessert area but it was very busy so it's definitely forgivable. I also applaud them for opening the holiday to serve the many people of older age who either could not or did not cook for themselves and the ones who were there just because they were alone. Saw a lot of senior citizens out so it was nice of them to be open.
