We were a party of 5 people. All of us frequent the establishment. Typically very satisfied with everything. Our sever Chaz made it a less than desirable experience last night. We understand the busy, demanding and sometimes ungrateful side of the restaurant business. Chaz did not want to put any effort into taking care of us. It took a while to simply get a soda. There was no silverware on the table. We got up and got it off another table. This is after our food was already served. We didn’t appreciate her leaving the plates unattended on the side table before serving us and “disappearing” somewhere while other customers were walking by our food. She noticed us not being happy and said :”what’s wrong?!” Not “is there anything you need?” I was not able to leave an honest review on the “iPad” because she was standing right there next to me looking straight at it. All of us left disappointed. Anyone can have a bad night. Chaz dropped comments such as she asked others to watch after her section but oh well. We don’t want to hear that our server is having a bad night. More than that we don’t want one with such poor attitude and disdain for her job.

Elegant restaurant with a casual atmosphere. I ordered the redfish orleans with broccoli and lemonade drink. The food was delicious, however my husband felt like the broccoli was a little too overcooked, meaning without a little crunch. I always enjoy Half shell restaurant.

Didn't eat, the hostess station was a disaster. Looked like a new waitress was being forced to stand in for a hostess that briefly showed up for like a minute. Went to Amerigoes instead and watched a very efficient hostess station on a busy night in action. I wasn't concerned about wait time. I wanted no part of the debacle. Fri or Sat after Christmas.
I was very disappointed with Half Shell’s customer service. It took about an hour for us to be seated, which we understood because they were busy. It also took a while for our waitress to take our order, and again, we were patient. However, after placing our order, it took 30 minutes just to receive our drinks and an additional hour for our food to arrive.
Our waitress was polite and informed us she had a large party, which we understood. Unfortunately, when our food finally arrived, it was ice cold. The waitress offered to get the manager, Tracy Jenkins, but we had to ask another staff member to get her when she didn’t come.
When Tracy finally came to the table, we explained the situation. She offered to remake the food, but we declined. She then walked off without any apology or attempt to resolve the issue. When our waitress returned, I asked to speak to the manager again to explain that we would not be paying for the food. When Tracy came back and I explained this, she once again walked off without saying anything.
Another waitress—not our own—came to the table and told us everything was taken care of and that we were free to leave.
In my opinion, Tracy was rude and unprofessional. I understand that restaurants get busy, but a simple apology and respectful communication would have gone a long way.

I do not usually do reviews but felt compelled to give one after my visit today for dinner. I was meeting a friend that was already sitting at the bar & had already gotten an appetizer. I sat down & yes they were busy but no one said anything to me for quite some time. After almost half an hour I had to get someone's attention to order a drink. I did ask for a glass of water in addition to my cocktail which I never received. Once again we had to get someone's attention to ask of we could order our food and the same on getting a second drink. I WAS happy with the taste & quality of the food i ordered. No complaints there. Overall though with the service being so poor I will never come back. The staff at the bar did not go out of their way whatsoever to make sure we were taken care of & actually came across that we were inconviencing them. If you have good food but lousy service people are not going to come back. Maybe it was just an off night but I will go somewhere else next time.

I'm from Florida and have had some of the best seafood ever. This place is probably one of the top 5 I've been to. Phenomenal! Pricey, but worth every penny. Pro tip: Get the Red Fish Orleans with the cheese grits as a side and mix the grits on your plate with the sauce... it . will . blow . your . mind!

I came yesterday and Ordered Oysters and Gumbo . And was sick right after eating the Gumbo. The amount we paid the food should've been fresher and prepared daily. I am so disappointed. This is the first time I've experienced Food Poisoning. It was absolutely horrible.
