This is my go to spot for dine in hibachi every time. A little on the pricey side but what dine in hibachi places aren’t. The chefs are always great and nice! The food has always been seasoned well! I’ve had no complaints here over the several years I’ve been going.

Like so many places, hibachi has taken over. If you’re into loud families on their one night a week out, this is your place. If you want a nice place to just enjoy good sushi… this ain’t it. Several points make this glaringly obvious.

1. The sushi is definitely not fresh anymore. It’s obvious the management is catering to hibachi, and the sushi has suffered. To the point they’re even adding hibachi tables on the sushi side. Just make it all hibachi and sell out all the way, cause that’s where you’re going anyway.

2. It’s loud. Very loud. So you can’t hear conversation at the sushi tables loud. For anyone not looking to just easily entertain kids, it just can’t worth it.

3. The nail in the coffin? They charge a 15% automatic gratitude on ALL tables, not just big tops. That’s the kibach for me. I typically tip 15-20%; so not only did you gip your servers, but you also made sure any serious diner ain’t coming back, EVER! And telling me it’s posted on the front door just pusses me off. I’m not saying you can’t LEGALLY do that; I’m saying you just killed your restaurant by telling me to take it up with management like I just got stuck with a lemon used car! Auto gratuity is the death knell to any restaurant. Once the word is out, this place will go down like the Titanic.

Sorry, Ichiban… but you lost me at mandatory 15% gratuity!

Food was OK at best but the price was outrageous. overall I wouldn’t go back cause the price was just too high for a buffet. When it was time to pay the man sat there and watched us run our card and watched to see if we left a tip I felt very uncomfortable with that.

The age and height requirement for kids under 12. You have to be 12 and younger AND BE UNDER 5 feet.

One of the best steaks I've ever had. The regular hibachi steak looked like wagyu, it was marbled so well. They have a smoky chili paste you need to ask for that's much better than the pink sauce. It is one of the pricier hibachi places, but worth it when you can.

The only thing good was the salad. The rice had no flavor and had bits of very undercooked rice. The pink sauce was runny. Won’t be going back.

It's pretty good as a once in a while kind of place, but it can get old pretty quick too. What I found very interesting this time was their ice cream selection! Most Chinese buffets offer paltry dessert options if any, but this place not only had ice cream, it was GOOD ice cream. Like you might otherwise only find at dedicated ice cream parlors with 30 or so flavors. This alone puts this place in a class by itself.
