It's pretty good as a once in a while kind of place, but it can get old pretty quick too. What I found very interesting this time was their ice cream selection! Most Chinese buffets offer paltry dessert options if any, but this place not only had ice cream, it was GOOD ice cream. Like you might otherwise only find at dedicated ice cream parlors with 30 or so flavors. This alone puts this place in a class by itself.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ichiban Hibachi and Sushi in Flowood, MS, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish!
From the moment we walked in, the service was fantastic. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. But the real highlight for us was our hibachi cook. They were not only incredibly skilled at preparing our delicious meal right before our eyes, but they were also great with the kids. Their engaging personality and playful interaction kept the little ones entertained and laughing, which made the evening even more enjoyable for everyone.
And of course, the food was delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection, from the perfectly grilled meats and fresh vegetables to the flavorful rice. Each bite was a delight. The atmosphere was good too – lively and fun, without being overwhelmingly loud, making it perfect for a family dinner.
We left Ichiban feeling completely satisfied and with smiles on our faces. If you're looking for a top-notch hibachi and sushi experience in Flowood with amazing service, entertaining chefs, and incredibly tasty food, Ichiban is definitely the place to go. We can't wait to go back!

We could barely eat the food today for lunch. The Tuna Martini… the Tuna tasted old. The only thing fresh was the salad. The teriyaki chicken had an odd taste too that I decided not to eat. My husband had Sashimi lunch and could not eat one of the pieces of fish. He thought I was over exaggerating until he had his food. This used to be a great place to eat but has SIGNIFICANTLY declined.

We were so disappointed with our experience! We are a senior couple who does not eat very much so we like to split our meal, especially when eating at a Chinese restaurant (they give huge portions). Taking leftovers home is not always convenient and the food sometimes goes to waste. When we explained that we would like to share our meal, our server’s attitude went sour. I guess she was hoping for a big ticket and therefore a big tip. We ordered our beverages, egg rolls appetizer, and an entree. We split the food and left no leftovers. The server checked on us a few times but it felt like it was a chore for her.
Another problem was the wine I ordered. The wine was good but the amount in the glass was minuscule. I received 1/2 a serving for full price. The price was really high for the brand and amount served.
The food was OK. The egg rolls were the best part of the meal.
The restaurant includes a 15% tip in the price of the meal. That’s a shame because IF the service is good, my husband usually gives 20-25%. Our server really only earned 10% with her negative attitude but we paid the full 15% required.
We won’t return.

This place has declined in service and quality since my last visit. The hibachi chef didn't cook our steak to order. When we noticed it was being overcooked, we asked him to pull it from the grill and he ignored us and continued, delivering us well done filet mignon instead of the medium we requested.
The entertainment we have come accustomed to was missing, there was no flair or showmanship or slice and dice pizazz. Lackluster and underwhelming experience. We probably won't go back.

Hibachi and sushi was delicious! Great value for the food portion provided. Had more than enough to take home for leftovers.

I ordered and enjoyed the Mississippi sushi roll. Will definitely return the next time I’m in the area!

I spent $300 tonight and 5 of the 7 top asked for medium rare. He cooked the medium before the medium rare. By the time we got our steak it was well done, had absolutely no flavor. It was horrible I paid $30 for a meal I didn't eat. I paid for $11 on extra steak did6get get. I definitely will not return. Absolutely horrible service and paid to much for a meal that wasn't even right

I love good sushi and freshly cooked food. The fact that I can get both in one place gives me the best of both worlds. The food here was amazing. I will definitely be back.
