We will not be returning. Our food was cold and not great, service was absolutely horrible. Took 10-15 minutes to even get greeted, had to wait on like three things that got forgotten about. Overall it was our first time here and we will not come back

Ordered Bacon cheeseburger with fries for me and my husband. We never received the fries and the burger was over cooked. The waitress never checked in on us. I won’t be back.

10/24 UPDATE! Call me stupid but I believed that this place must have changed after the years and thought I’d give it another try. Bad decision!!!!!!! We ordered takeout and one of the menu items was scalloped potatoes. They delivered our meal and the receipt said scalloped potatoes. However, when my friend took a bite, the disgusting item served was certainly not potatoes but something unidentifiable!!!! I called the kitchen and they declared that potatoes were not on the menu, even though the receipt said that’s what they’d served. They said no one who worked in the kitchen was there. I did not believe this was true because we had just gotten our meal and the restaurant was still open and serving food! I took the food by and they started claiming it was not potatoes then claiming it was. There was no apology and they looked almost smug. They declared that nothing else in their menu would’ve looked remotely like a potato or like that so they weren’t really sure what it was. Well, a couple of weeks later I saw some photos online with a description of chitterlings. It looked exactly like what they’d served my vegetarian friend while claiming it was potatoes! Chitterlings were not even a menu item so I guess employees had brought them in from who knows where. This place needs to be shut down and I hope it is!!!!!!! It is not a safe place for anyone to eat at. If they’d do this to us then who knows what of all else they are doing to people’s food! Take my advice and choose a different restaurant.

Older review: This was a filthy and disgusting place! I’d never go back! If I could rate below one star then I would. Our experience at this place started when we were seated at a filthy table that was covered with gooey grime. They made us wait to have someone come from the back and wipe it off after we complained, even though there were numerous unoccupied tables that were cleaner. We waited forever to place our order, and then waited forever again for the food to be prepared. They took an unreasonable amount of time preparing our food, and we watched numerous other diners come in, order, eat, and leave before our food was ever brought out. When the food was finally brought out, it was ice cold. It was below room temperature, as if it had just came out of the fridge. We left after that, even though the manager came out and offered with a rather cool attitude to heat the food up.

Here’s an example of a positive Google review for Jo’s Diner:

“I had a fantastic meal at Jo’s Diner! The classic American comfort food here is amazing, and everything tasted homemade and fresh. I ordered the fried chicken tenders and gumbo. and it was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and satisfying.

The diner has a cozy, nostalgic vibe with friendly service that made me feel right at home. It’s the perfect spot for a hearty meal and great conversation.

I highly recommend Jo’s Diner for anyone looking for delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!”

Not great. Food took a while and was cold. Over medium eggs were not over medium. Was starving so tried to eat what I ordered. Booth seat also had trash from paper straw wrappers when we were seated. Stopped to eat here on our way out of town. Flowood, MS is just not great in general unless you are into mediocre corporate chains and no culture.

This is THE classic diner experience. If you're in the Flowood area this place is a must go. Unique, courteous, quick, clean and professional. The dishes range from small to large plates and you definitely get your money's worth. Great variety of dishes if you have a family.

We came in for the first time to eat a late breakfast and our waitress was not friendly to us but was friendly to other tables and our food was not the greatest for the price. The breakfast burritos didn't even have eggs in them and when we did ask the waitress about it she said breakfast burritos doesn't have eggs in them.( first for me) Needless to say we are new to the area and won't be back.

What a fantastic little diner Flowood has. Great food, Great atmosphere and the staff are incredibly nice. First time coming here and will not be my last. I enjoyed my country breakfast throughly. Prices are reasonable to me for the amount of food and the quality you receive.

I believe the server was Mylea. She was fantastic, very friendly.

Great 50's vibe and decor. The good was excellent. Manager was really nice. My husband and chose here to celebrate. We were the only patrons. The young girls at the front were unprofessional, sitting around on phones behind the front desk when I asked about purchasing thier 20 0z. tumbler. She didn't know what I was talking about. It was on the sign. The steak was excellent though.

This place is an awesome diner you can buy breakfast all day, brunch and they have a dinner menu. it's located on the opposite corner of panera bread. Well worth a stop if you are in flowood area.
