The Chicken Pot Pie is so-so, the chicken is stringy and too few veggies in it. The broccoli is OK and needs shorter stems.
The Southern Salad Sampler was also so-so, the chicken salad was too stringy as well. The Potato Salad & Spinach Dip were both good.
Overall the lunch food was not as good as we remember in years past.

The food is always great and good prices. Daily dessert and lunch specials. We’ve never had the same dessert twice and they have always been amazing. Lunch specials come with entree, 2 sides, bread, drink, and dessert.

I'll tell you what, we happened by this place while in Tuscaloosa, and so glad we did. I had the catfish, perfectly done, not a sign of greasiness...just clean good fried fish. Mac and Cheese is killer and probably the best onion rings, she had meatloaf and collards...what can I say...great service, friendly staff...5 stars all day long

The food was alright. The problem is the amount of food you get for the price! I can go to plenty of places and get more food in my plate for the same price.

I purchased the Praline Pecan King Cake today. It did NOT disappoint other than my request for bavarian cream, which wasn't available for a filling without an advanced order. I treated the gentlemen where we work for a little Friday-after-lunch treat and they swarmed it like a bee to a flower! The icing had a strong maple presence, rather than praline, but no one cared a single bit. It's a wrap! Gone in less than 15 minutes. Price was a little higher than bakeries in New Orleans for a single; but was fresh made and very tasty.
Everything was delicious and great customer service!
