Been open for many years. Food was good tasting and plentiful portions. Staff was friendly. A good mix of southern fair and cajun influences on the menu. Diner feel with self-ordering process. Worth a visit if local or traveling through the area.

Oh my gosh this was good! So glad we stopped. The restaurant was busy for a weekday lunch, and it’s easy to see why.
Multiple tables were dirty even though they were setup as clean. The tilapia was over cooked. The man that took my order was adequate, the man wiping the tables was not doing a good job at all.

Chicken Supreme was not. More like hard fried chicken cardboard. Meatloaf was not done thoroughly.
We stopped in Primos after it was suggested on Mississippi Eats! Restaurants, Recipes, Cookbooks & More on Facebook & it was a good recommendation.
The outside is as misleading as the inside is impressive. The inside reminds of the old large Cafe's you would find in the downtown area of many cities. As a first time patron, I didn't care for ordering at the counter with all the items on the menu, but the lady taking our order was really friendly & helpful. Food wise my Seafood Gumbo was OK, but didn't really have a seafood taste though it did have enough heat to be noticeable, which was a good thing. The cornbread muffin was good too. My better half got that Catfish Blueplate with mac-n-cheese and greens with all of it being good. We didn't order desserts but we did check out the pastry display and everything in the cabinet looked great. All in all, it was an enjoyable meal at a fair value which will have us going back again.

My first time here, did not like the ordering system as we are handicapped. you have to order your food and pay then go sit down. I had no way of truly exploring what they offered as there were people behind me, so I just ordered some breakfast only to find they had things I would have preferred and for what I paid for it, lunch made more sense.

My wife and I ate lunch at Primos recently. We split 4 different sides: potato salad (my wife thinks it’s German, and she’s not terribly fond of it. I just wish I had the recipe b/c I love it.), squash casserole, greens, and fried okra (much better than at Cracker Barrel). We also had a roll and a piece of cornbread, both of which we split. We had water to drink. Great lunch for $15.75 with $3 tip. My wife also bought some treats for us to split. They were great.
