I ordered the catfish plate with 2 sides w/ the sista punch. Everything was good. I ordered to-go but the place itself was nice. Great/speedy service. Will order again.

We enjoyed the plate lunch, good catfish and chicken livers. Try the carrot cake. Delicious and beautifully presented.

I love supporting black businesses. It was welcoming from entrance to exit. They immediately greeted us and seated us. A young lady brought menus, advised of specials and told prices. Prices not on the menu bc she said they had changed. The tabled were a bit stained and salt all over, so I asked for it to be re-cleaned. Starters came out within 10-15 mins. We had fried okra which I enjoyed bc it was pickled and fried. I'd never had them before and thought I'd be getting the usual cut and fried okraFish was seasoned well. Nice portion size. Veggies didn't taste canned. I didn't understand the charge for the bread. We never asked for it, and no one ever asked if we wanted them either. My acquaintance said she didn't like the Mac n cheese bc it tasted old. Overall I'd return.

It took a very long time for the food to come to the table. When the food arrived my greens were cold, pork chop came out greasy and the steak was not seasoned. We only had 2 adults and 3 small kids at our table and just because I ordered take out plates they included the tip in the ticket. They need to rethink charging customers that way.

This is the 2nd time our experience sucked there. I'm not going to touch on it all but --vibe... off.-mac was cold-side portions were very small, barely 1/4 of a cup. The fish had a nice amount though, and it was good.-There were 2 adults + 2 kids who got kids meals + 1 kid who didn't get a meal and just ate off of my plate + 1 baby asleep in stroller the entire time (so 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals). When we got the receipt it said "Custom Item $9.45" We were told that's gratuity for 5 or more...For (2) 5.99 kids meal (+ $2 for CHEESE), catfish $14.25, spaghetti $13.99, $0.50 I assume is for the bbq sauce my kid asked for on his burger, and no drinks other than water for all, turned out to be $58 and we still left hungry and super aggravated.I never write reviews but I'm overly irritated.

Worst soul food ever. Over cooked/seasoned & cold sides. Also with attitudes if you complain. Tried to give this place many chances but of course disappointments everytime. If you order anything fried, please ask if they changed their grease because they will still cook your food in old/dirty grease

I ordered the wings and fries. The food itself was actually very good. the wings were crispy and saucy and fries were seasoned as well. However, the only negative thing about it was the price. Just 6-7 wings and fries ran me 18 dollars with no drink.

The customer service was very poor! I ordered a catfish plate with two sides of greens and mac and cheese. I received no greens and they gave me cabbage that I did not order. They explained that “greens are cabbage” but that is not what their menu stated. For the amount of time it took to get my food, my catfish tastes like it was cooked in burnt oil and my mac and cheese was not good. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I saw GodThe food is made with love, I can't believe this place doesn't have more business. Please, if you're reading this review then eat here. Trust me and go, it's more than worth it.This is easily the best place I've ate at. Everything is delicious, and I can't stress that enough.

Dietary restrictions: I'm allergic to onions. Everything is made fresh and it was easy for them to accommodate for my allergy.

Condense your menu. There's too much stuff it's too busy. Decide what you want to serve and cut it down to that. Trying to get everyone to decide what they want was impossible. I ordered fries and ushered them out and went somewhere else.Change your Grease.?

We came upon this location because another location that was supposed to be across the street really wasn't. The posted message at the entrance noted to be patient with their service because food is made fresh to order. We didn't mind the waiting time because the food came out, and it was delicious! The sweet tea was refreshing as always - especially from the south. We're from MN, and nothing up here has ever been equal to the tea you get served from the southern states. I ordered their lizzard dish, and my wife ordered their catfish dish with greens. Yummy stuff! Super filling as well! Friendly team there, and all!Would I come back? For sure!

Food is over priced and the portions are small. I paid 21.00 for a small hamburger patty with Mac and cheese, yams, and rice and broccoli casserole. Food taste was ok, but most definitely not worth 21.00. More like 10.00. Needless to say I will not be going back there
