I love supporting black businesses. It was welcoming from entrance to exit. They immediately greeted us and seated us. A young lady brought menus, advised of specials and told prices. Prices not on the menu bc she said they had changed. The tabled were a bit stained and salt all over, so I asked for it to be re-cleaned. Starters came out within 10-15 mins. We had fried okra which I enjoyed bc it was pickled and fried. I'd never had them before and thought I'd be getting...
It took a very long time for the food to come to the table. When the food arrived my greens were cold, pork chop came out greasy and the steak was not seasoned. We only had 2 adults and 3 small kids at our table and just because I ordered take out plates they included the tip in the ticket. They need to rethink charging customers that way.
I ordered the wings and fries. The food itself was actually very good. the wings were crispy and saucy and fries were seasoned as well. However, the only negative thing about it was the price. Just 6-7 wings and fries ran me 18 dollars with no drink.
